You mean fuchsia? I suppose you work with those edible colors, huh? Hmmm... they sure mix differently than those I work work with. Let's try this: (I hope we think about the same fuchsia, cuz there are several of them) Use the reddest red you got, add a bit of indigo blue, and if it gets too dark, a wee bit of white. If that doesn't work, we'll try something else. Good luck! And try to mix colors on a daylight! |

Unfortunetly the Red and purple ( 2 different purples) did not give me the brightness of the fushia, it was not pink enough, In fact it was not pink at all, I tried this combo on 3 small batches of gumpaste today, using smaller amounts of the red , then vise versa.... I'm wondering if maybe the one Red food color paste is too old.... I'm going to buy another bottle and try this again, because other people are telling me it is red and purple too...... they say it worked for them, and I know it is not the gumpaste fondant because it is a fresh batch...... Some colors are quite easy to make like "periwinkle, that is the other color I made today for the ribbon on the cake... |

I never thought to check the Free encyclopedia, and yes sorry it is Fushia, the one I am wanting is "Royal Fushia", I have a deep Christmas Red , it is the deepest red that Wiltons sells, as for the indigo , they don't sell that, here are only maybe 3 blues you can purchase, Royal is the deepest blue. I guess i could try making an Indigo and take it from there.... I do make them in day light also you are suppose to let it sit for a few hours..... which I did... ok thx guys, I'll get back to the drawing board with your ideas and see what happens... ps- the periwinkle is perfect!!! it matches the brides mades dresses perfectly |
