I just learnt to spin wool, taught myself with tips from the internet. I now need a spinning wheel.

I like brussel sprouts

I can't sing and like using that talent to clear a room. Especially when I want peace from the husband and kids.

Can I post three more?

1. I met Jo through the newspaper, she moved in after 2 months, we got engaged inside 3 months, I got her pregnant inside 4 months, had a child after 13 months and were married after a year and a half. We don't hang around!
2. John Inman from hit 70s UK sitcom 'Are You Being Served?' nicked my taxi at Peterborough train station.
3. I have a 10 Yugoslavian Dinar note from a time when the currency was 100,000 Dinar to the pound (1991)

I wish that I had retained it Erki. I spoke it fluently until I was 5. I plan on re-learning it though. It's not my first language - Serbian is, which I speak fluently.

Sure, I live in Canada right now and have ever since we came from Germany (I was only 3). My parents met and lived in Germany for years before they married.

Are you German Erki?

No, I'm mostly Estonian. Mostly because my great grandmother was a Russian, my grandparents' surname(and my mother's maiden name) are from possible German heritage and my surname is also from German heritage. So I'm probably a mix-up. I hope I only got the best of them all! I don't speak any Russian, though. And German, as I said earlier in this thread, is also very bad. But my Estonian...now that's a killer.

How interesting!
I'm actually 1/4 Russian too. My maternal grandfather was Russian.

Erki, I'm amazed at how good your English is. I gather you learned it in school and get practice in this forum which is quite a melting pot.

Thanks, Z. English isn't very hard language and it gets even easier if you use it probably more than your mother tongue. My spoken English is amazing too, but only if I'm talking to myself in my head.

I wear no shoes ever, only jandels. This is strange because I live on side of mountain where it snows 13 months out of 15.

Naturally it is hard to get electricity here, so my computer is cycle powered, meaning that a) I'm pedaling right now while talking to you and b) I am very very fit as I use the computer quite a bit. This being said I have never ridden a bike outside, as it is dangerous to do so in Jandels and on the steep icy mountain roads.

I hate the cold. So I have a coal fire burning constantly. Recently, to compensate for my ridiculously large jandeled carbon footprint, I have been growing trees. I now have the worlds largest collection of tiny bonzai trees above 2500ft.

1. I'm a member of a Unitarian Universalist church which I LOVE.

2. My husband and I have been separated for 3 years, but can't quite bring ourselves to finalize it through divorce. (Thanks, Angela, for suggesting Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay on a couple of threads!)

3. I love that I get to watch shows like SpongeBob Squarepants and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends with my kids - and have been known to watch them even if they weren't home!

@ Dan.Linehan:

I *love* Calvin & Hobbes, and really like the tattoo. My oldest learned to read because we read C&H over and over and over again to him, but I couldn't read to him 24/7, so he was motivated to read himself. I can't pick one favorite story line - the duplicator, the beanie, the dead bird... they're all wonderful.

That's very interesting ChaosKiwi...

You should start a thread and tell us more about your lifestyle...

I have Googled for "jandel" and it referred to "jandal" which are are actually "flip-flops" in this part of the world...

I'll be looking forward to reading more from you... quite interesting... but, don't expect me to move next door...

I'm afraid to write a list...but part of me wants to...most of me doesn't
I guess I'll do the opposite of my usual inclination, since I don't want to be like I was, and I will write - and delete later...

1. have 3 citizenships
2. have lived in 4, going on 5 different countries independently either as a citizen or immigrant, or both - but Canada is my favorite country in the whole world
3. have been chaste all my life

Hello!

Being new to this community, there are a lot of
things you don't know about me. So this should
be quite easy...

1. I'm a writer, illustrator, and a Philosopher of Humour.

2. Twice I've been so down and out that I busked the Montréal metro dressed as PAX THE SINGING CLOWN.

3. I have 5 tattoos.

Big hugs,
Mudd
xoxo

1. I used to obsess about all things computers, video games and and new gadgets; and now that I am surrounded by computer technology at work, sometimes I can't stand it.

2. My last car lived to 254k miles with most repairs done by me and my father. I had to let it go only because it was rear-ended.

3. I lived half my life in the U.S. I'm bilingual in English and Russian and supposed to know Ukrainian and French, but very ashamed that I can barely use those two.

Sorry, if you don't know some things it's because:

a-too controversial or too adult-oriented to be posted
b-they are not interesting
