I´ve played this game just once, a couple of years ago, and it was an amazing experience.
The Transformation Game is a board game designed by two people from the scotish Findhorn Foundation. This is a perfectly fine example of a healthy "edutainment" (education + entertainment), mind-stretching-conciousness-growing activity you may have with your friends and family.
Before starting the game you´ll set a goal, a Personal Playing Focus that will be any question or issue about your life that needs clarifying. For the next hours, this "insight machine" will lead you to the boundaries of your thoughts and beyound. The more you relax, accept and embrace the experience, stronger the transformation potencial will be.

Players begin by choosing a question or issue which becomes their Personal Playing Focus. Each player moves a personality marker along a Life Path on the game board, entering at the Physical Level and eventually progressing through the Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Levels. Playing The Transformation Game enables you to interact with your family and friends in stimulating, supportive and caring ways.

A complete pack of 52 Life Angel cards is included in every game and can be played by itself to encourage individual creativity and to enhance your ability to interact successfully in relationships. Choose an Angel at the start of a new venture or on other special occasions. Select a card to support you with a particular task or to overcome an obstacle or simply to give you a direction to focus on for a certain period of time. Let an Angel card join you as a companion, and your life will be richer and more meaningful.

Well, it's been three years since anyone's posted on this thread but as there are never any accidents, here I am!

In fact, at this very moment, I have my Transformation Game spread out on the floor ready to be played.

I have played it many, many times; having 'discovered' it over 20 years ago for use with a fab women's group I was involved with then.

New Year's Eve 15 years ago I was in California and got to play with 8 women (two boards) and a Findhorn-trained facilitator.

Now I still occasionally play with others but every so often I just pull out my board and play with myself (heh)

Great game. Always interesting, stimulating and eye-opening.

I talked to a trainer recently and they say that it helps to for the first time play with at least one very experienced person, as this will determine if it is "just a game" or a really transformational experience. Apparantly, she also uses it for individual coaching, touching really core stuff with people. My dream is to some day do the facilitators' program at Findhorn, to really learn how to use it in big groups, small groups and individual coaching.
