I was rummaging through some stuff at home recently and I found these three paintings I did for my art portfolio back in '85. Blimey, I must've been a right moody teenager with all that black. ![]() ![]() |

Thank you! That means a lot! For the record the pictures are of: 1. The face of a 19th century statue which, when painting the beard, I tried to create the effect of 'dripping' whiskers. Can't really tell on this image but I think it works pretty well. 2. Peter Gill - Drummer of 80s band Frankie Goes To Hollywood 3. Claudia Brucken - Singer in German band Propaganda We should perhaps start a creativity thread for us all to post our talents be it craft, painting or even cooking. Could be fun! |

Why didn't you put this stuff on the revealing myself thread....(would have stopped in degenrating) We now can see what a talented artist you are. The first one is quite haunting...... And all three are amazing. The last one......what made you paint her...... I had a wee crush on Lena Zavaroni myself at the time, in the early eighties!!! G |

Gordon, Claudia just had a really interesting look. She has an unusual face that's very striking. Not sure there's many that would use a cigarette in a pop promo photo now but again it's still a very strong image. |
