Cool Just got home from Six Flags...

And my brain hurts from being squished to the back of my head from so much rollercoaster riding.. But I had fun anyway. :P

Anyone else like theme park rides and plan on going to an amusement park this summer?

Six flags rocks!!

I went last year, from open to close, we got in only about eight or nine coasters (about a third of the park), and soooo close to vomming.... Great fun!!

Fav ride: X-treme (coaster cars that rotate on the x axis too)

I agree that rollercoasters rule.
Fav. Ride = Raging Bull (Hypertwisting Rollercoaster at Six Flags Great America)

Actually, I somehow always psyche myself out and get really anxious around roller coasters. My palms get sweaty, like now, just thinking about the ride, and I freak out. Once I'm on the roller coaster, I'm fine, though. For some reason, I can never seem to convince myself, "Don't worry! Millions of people go on these rides every day. What are you worried about?"

I love "Batman: The Ride" and have no problem with it, strangely enough.

I think it is a problem with control. When someone else is driving my car, I notice that I tend to get nervous that they aren't stopping soon enough at a light or noticing cars I notice on the road. Perhaps rollercoasters are the extreme form of "I'm not in control of this ride!" I get nervous on airplanes, too. My hands get sweaty when I think about jumping out of an airplane. I figure some day that will have to be something I do to conquer that fear.

I have wondered if I was piloting a plane if I would have such nervousness. Maybe my problem is that I don't like that someone else is responsible for me?

With that girl's feet being cut off at Six Flags, I don't think I'll ever go again...

Haven't heard of this bit of news. I have heard of coasters having malfunctions and seriously hurting or killing people on board, though.

Yeah, I know. I didn't mean to imply that I was afraid of coasters because of some rational fear of malfunction.
