Then to choose the likes of Freud over them is a little stupid
Why is it stupid? It's all good... maybe spiritual enlightenment wasn't Freuds gift, doesn't mean he wasn't gifted in a different way

Freud invented a theory based on all our current problems stemming from sexual problems during our childhood....a theory cannot be proved or disproved...it pretty much ensured his name will never be forgotten in the name of Psychology. But to say hes on the same playing field as Jesus Christ is slightly ..... .

Not that I'm Christian...but then again I did say admire...

The internet would be next to nothing without the world wide web, and that credit goes to Tim Berners-Lee

Says here, "Tim Berners-Lee is the Director of the World Wide Web Consortium, Senior Researcher at MIT's CSAIL where he leads the Decentralized Information Group (DIG), and Professor of Computer Science at Southampton ECS."

What else has he done to deserve that credit...??? I am not being facetious here... I was just wondering...

Not only did he lay the foundations for hypertext, but he already had the first web browser, first web pages, and first web server, so he basically designed the architecture of the web.
You can read more about it here

john lennon
ralph nader
martin luther king, jr.

these men are/were social geniuses, using the knowledge and energy of their times to turn society towards a brigher horizon.

i know the geniuses way back in history have probably had more impact, because their work is further back, and therefore more widely and deeply embedded in our cultural landscape.

but the ones above have personally delighted and educated and inspired me more than any other.

william james, the father of william james sidis is a genius in the psychology field. Look what he did with his son. He proved a lot of things with this experiment.

I love all genius, all kind, in music, maths, language, sports, I just love genius, I love them., I understand them.
