BTW, if you want to read about one of my walking expeditions you can read about one day from a week long trek along the South West Way in Devon here: A Day on the South West Way coast path « Crusty Nomad

| Yep, you can actually see Mount Snowdon in the background of Photo 1. Was a great day, up at 6.30, drove Sheffield to North Wales (my friend, who's an experienced climber and walker, was driving, his car goes fast!). We managed to do most of the Snowdon horse-shoe; then drove to another range of mountains for more climbing. Turned in to a very wet; and very winday day; but great fun. Made it back home to Sheffield for 10.30, and my friend made last orders at the pub! Something very striking about being up in the mountains, away from the hard lines of the city; out in nature; you could see for miles and miles, practically you could make out the outline of Anglesea. |

| Nice pictures! That mountain looks gorgeoussss! Did you guys start by walking a lot? Tuumble, I'd love to just wander around for a month or two or three or twelve. I should start with 2 hour walks, then 4 hour walks, then day walks, etc? Would you two nomads agree? |

| Wow what a great mountain! I want to walk up too!!!!! I'd love to spend a few months wandering around too, especially in the mountains, I love that. It's an amazing feeling to reach the summit and almost fall into the sky Actually my next 30 days trial will be to walk up the same small mountain here every day for 30 days Jamie, you look absolutely great. You're so sexy, and you have such a charming smile |

| I should point out, I do have hair, that luminous green thing on my head, is my fave hat!! Dave; may be worth-while finding a walking group, or walking buddie, to show you the ropes, and who knows the best walks in your local area. Must be loads in Canada (you lucky thing). Rose; thanks! Made my day. |

| haha it's not luck it's choice - I left the US! |

| Yep, Canada is probably where I'd head if I ever left the UK. It always make me laugh to hear UK people say it's a long way to the Lake District or whatever when you see the scale of Canada. We're pretty lucky here I guess to have so much variety of scenery in such a small place though you wouldn't believe it to here the Brits talk.

| I'm extremely grateful to be here; it's beautiful. I'll be doing a lot more exploring soon, though. |

| On the subject of how great Canada is ... Some friends of mind flew out to Calgary, a few weeks ago; they took bikes with them, and cycled over the Rocky mountains, to Vancouver (they're pretty adventeous, or nuts, depending on your point of view). So, they allocated 10 days to get to Vancouver, few days rest; then last Friday, they did the Vancouver international championships Triathlon (swim, bike, run) - Sprint distance. Did really well too, Alison, came 10th in age group catagory (out of 20); and Glenn came 22nd (out of about 42). Be interesting to hear their stories when they're back the UK, bet they had an ace time cycling over the Rockies! |

| Been awhile since I looked at this thread, It's kinda fun to see faces with names here since "avatars" aren't shown in this forum. Anyhow. I thought I'd be different and post a link to a slide-show of Lindsey and myself sailing around in the sail boat. (The slide show is at the bottom of the post.) | My computer wallpaper usually has embedded words/goals etc.; I also have a random set of questions that pops up on my computer every now and again. I never use pictures in my physical space - my walls are bare. |
