Our lovely Angela is having surgery to fix her hernias tomorrow -- I wanted to start a thread where we could all give her our well-wishes!

I hope it goes great for you!

I'm doing my prepare for surgery hypnosis -- and also getting my prescription for heavy narcotics filled! What is it CoolBee says, something about "Trust in Allah, and tie the camels!"

(The way I figure it, if they tell Actors/Actresses to "break a leg" before a performance, then it just makes sense to tell someone who is about to have surgery to Act Well.

)

How Fortunate you are to get it here ...

(Wanted some

for my hernia repair on 10/30/11 last month too,
particularly as that was my 1st. surgery, but got it elsewhere)

I was on oxycodone 'til discharge on day 2, refilled it on day 3, but
immediately went OFF everything 'cold-turkey', &
never took any analgesics since. Also needed no hypnosis-recordings, &
I don't tolerate ice; (instead used comforting heating-pad HS).

I simply used my internal

training: "NO reason to hurt anymore, so
just heal this puppy ASAP

so we can get back on the ice... as a Skater".
With this as my motivation, I have been pain-free

I appreciate your well-wishing so much, Beingist, Supertom, Cacheborn, Marinik, Wolfgang, and Million Dollar Man. It's all going straight into my unconscious to take with me during the surgery -- I'll be going in in about a half hour. I'm looking forward to eating and drinking, cuz I wasn't allowed to have anything after midnight, or I'd turn into a gremlin.
