What's you're favorite salad? Mine is this one I discovered in a french cafe recently. Sooooo good. I consider the act of eating to be very fun, so I thought this would be fun to remember your favorite salad experience. It was a mixed salad, with cous cous containing candied sultanas, orange slices (no peel), mixed beans with vinagrette, fresh squeaky broccolini and cauliflower that had been lightly grilled or something, it had a brownish tinge around it and tasted divine. Red cabbage that had been pickled, and carrot shredded. It looked so colorful and appealing, and every bite was simply exquisite. I can't even describe it with words, it was the best salad I've ever eaten. So what's yours? Last edited by elucidate; 11-12-2011 at 11:20 AM. |

Ummmmm YUMMMMM NOM NOM NOM! That sounds delish, Luci! I love salads, too. I found one a few years ago in a Mexican diner here in my town called Ensalada Ixtapa. OMG. It's delicious. I now eat nothing but that when we go out for Mexican, so it's really saved me some major calories. I was going to post a pic, but apparently it's not very common because I can't find one, but it consists of a mixed green salad with pico de gayo, mandarin oranges, pineapple and a chicken breast that's been glazed with pineapple juice (and I think mango) and grilled. It requires no dressing at all and is just the most wonderful combination of sweet, spicy, and delish. |

Mango in salads is really good. Shame about the pic, I would have loved to salivate over that one. | |

I enjoy salad. I like a good caesar, but my favorite is... Apple and Prosciutto Salad, consisting of House mixed greens, Red Delicious and Granny Smith apples, prosciutto di Parma, bleu cheese, spiced walnuts, and pomegranate vinaigrette..yum! |
