Honestly when I read your OP I thought it was really clever. First of all, because you were completely right. As soon as I saw the words "masturbation" and "ego" I had to click on the thread. Then I did not reply just because I thought...oh jeez...he's so right. LOL.

I think it's a great social experiment. You're evaluating the human reaction to the two words combined and waiting to see if your hypothesis is correct.

Also, in case those people who seem offended didn't pick up in the OP (which I could be wrong about, so please correct me, O Dear Pirate, if am) but I'm pretty sure the whole point of this thread was that he found it amusing that people DO react to those words in such a way, so he was trying to make a JOKE about exactly what you guys are accusing him of! Well I'm really not "making such a big deal out of it" at all. I presented my original post in support of a brand new member who was seemingly a little more offended, dissuaded than myself. I've no particular interest in adding to the post count of this thread, nor to continue making the same point, so it would have been left right there if misunderstandings about my post were not subsequently aired.

So I continue to add to the thread, which is ok by me if/whenever someone shares their reasonable perspective and/or their misunderstanding. Hey, as long as a valid awareness is being promoted, I'm more than happy to participate.

But hey, if the mods permit it, then I guess I'm not even to be considered in the equation, huh?

Whether you are interested in it or not, you ARE adding to the post count and therefore helping the person you find so vile and inane.

I realise that humour is relative to the beholding grumpy bum and I apologise for pushing any Catholic guilt buttons in mentioning the M word.

I understand and tend to avoid the ' big mind ' threads for that reason. You need an interest in connecting on a mental level and of late I can't find one. That may change though.
I see humour and fun as being a way of elevating the spirit. I am way serious in my intent to spiritual ____ fill in the blank but not in my nature...if that computes.
