Default Driving - when the flow kicks in

I do a lot of driving, mostly to work and back everyday. Often it's frustrating, being stuck in traffic and waiting for the flow to begin. When the flow does begin though I'm a happy man...

It's such a great feeling to be behind the wheel when a path through traffic opens before you, the lights go green at just the right time... people change out of your way... coming into a corner downshifting and shedding speed, heel-and-toe to match road speed and throttle out of the turn... bliss..

Driving I've had some of those perfect moments, when everything just feels right, connected and effortless

I never used to be a petrol head always thinking cars were for getting from A)lice to B)ob. Then I lived with a drifter and everything changed. Before I knew it I was elbows deep in my engine bay (totally lost) and making a few aftermarket modifications. Nothing like driving your own personalized ride!

It's just hit Spring in Brisbane, I just went for a quick trip to the store and couldn't help but enjoy a Sunday afternoon drive.

So who else enjoys their driving experience? What tales from the rode to you have?

Drives along a coastline or through nice mountain or forest scenary are nice. But yes, being stuck in city traffic is not fun, especially with a standard shift car. When I use to commute to and back from downtown Toronto, I would have to toggle between first and second gear all the way and it would take 1.5 hours.

Glad I don't have to do that anymore. The clutch leg use to get cramps during those commutes!
