Yes! I get to talk about my kitty!!!

This last one used to be our kitty, but she and Tortuga didn't get along very well So we gave her to my brother, but she didn't get along with his cat either

So we looked for another home and one of my moms employees wanted a cat, and she didn't have one yet, and now Hierba (which is her name) is very happy!!

Tortuga (Spanish for Turtle) loves getting her picture taken. She really poses for it.

She is absolutely adorable. Normally she starts sleeping with me, but apparerently I move too much so she leaves during the night and comes and wakes me up again in the morning.

She missed me a lot this summer. I was gone a lot (1x 2 weeks and 1x 3 weeks) and she gets super sticky with my husband instead.

I love her so much!! I wouldn't know what to do without her! She is 6 or 7 about now. We don't know for sure because we got her from a shelter and they guessed she was about 1 or 2 years old. We have her for 5 years now.

She is my baby!!!

Sandra, I know I've told you this before, but Tortuga is just gorgeous. I love the way she poses! And her name is really cute, too.

Yah, that is one of the perks of having relatively long arms. Though my mother sometimes tells me that I have orangutan arms. Its better than having t-rex arms.

It does make for good photos, assuming you don't cut off someone's head or body in the process. I managed to get some good photos of my mother, grandmother and my self this way.

If you ever take the photos, I'd like to see them!

Ha! Yes, I wonder the same thing sometimes. But it can be spooky the way they sort of stare off into space like that.

Once Oxo (a previous cat) was laying on my chest while I was laying in bed and she was staring intently at something behind me. She was close enough so that I could see the reflection in her eyes and it looked like there was another person sitting above me. In retrospect, it was probably just my own reflection distorted by the curvature of her eyes, but it totally spooked me. 'Ah! She is communicating with ghosts!'.

Cool cat, btw.

Ok... this is disturbingly similar to my own personality... The bottom picture, I mean... though the top picture might predict my future.

Ha! Who experiences either one of these? Maya throws her self at my door if I shut it on her. That is how desperate she is to get in.

Here are some pictures of our dogs.

This picture sort of depresses me. Its not even that good of a picture, but Sarah sort of reminded me of a forlorn, prehistoric creature roaming... a well kept school yard . It was sad, but humorous at the same time. It is just bloody depressing now.

My mother normally doesn't like me taking pictures of her. I hope she forgives me for posting a picture of her legs online.

Something about this picture makes me laugh. The leash is awesome

Edmonton Public Library Paws For A Story Program - Edmontonstories.ca

The Edmonton Public Library has a PAWS to Read program where young children can read to dogs and cats. The above article is cute. I also saw a video of a little girl reading to a cat, which was adorable, but now I can't find it.

I talk to my cats all the time maybe I should start reading to them too. I think a program like that would be helpful for kids with learning disabilities.

I just asked if Molly if she wanted me to read to her and she walked over and meow YES.
