I have NO idea where to put this, so I thought I'd make it a fun game. There is a mysterious smell of smelly fish on my right arm sleeve of my thermals. I have NO idea where it came from, and even washing it doesn't seem to get rid of it. It's disgusting, and makes me want to barf everytime I smell it. I'm wearing them right now, and thought it would be ok, as I washed them last nigh...but no! What could it be? Where did this darn smell of fish come from, and why won't it leave? My first guess is that somehow one of my omega three fish oil capsules split and dripped down onto it...somehow? Lets get our imaginations going and solve this silly thing for me, ok... |

I remember my mum had beauty oil that smelled actually like those omega 3 tablets, so have you tried any new facials or beauty creams.

No, I haven't got any new beauty creams, though I did just start using neem oil in my hair...but it's stinky in a different way to fish. It's only on one specific spot on my right arm sleeve...and not under the armpit. It isn't on my other sleeve. it's just weird!

Let me tell you about this fridge that I fixed . They took out all the food except a fish that fell inside where it was hard to see. It set out in the hot AZ sun for awhile. Lets just say it did not smell good inside. desert rat

BTW, karma came to your rescue this morning... Once every three weeks, I help my parents with their marathon shopping trip to the Army commissary. Well, today was that day, and it happened that I forgot to eat breakfast, so my stomach was feeling a bit "off", and I decided to grab something at the "Shopette". Well, with my luck, major renovations were going on, which meant no breakfast burrito or suchlike, so I had to improvise. The standard assortment of meat sticks and chips and cheese-stuffed pretzel rolls were off-putting, so I kept desperately searching until I made a fateful discovery that I thought might work well. My reactions to the sight, in order: 1) "Oh, yeah, that might work!!!" 2) "Uhhh... wait a damn minute... OH, NO!!!! LOL!!!!! Elucidate's revenge! Yes, this is what my improv breakfast consisted of this very morning, scarcely more than an hour after I'd ribbed you - seriously! It didn't "click" until after thought #1: Last edited by Wax Frog; 08-18-2011 at 11:14 PM.

| Hey, opposites attract. So if a white t-shirt with puffy sleeves and an image of a butterfly on it decides to fly to Arizona because cupid is calling and it lands on a half baked fish and falls in love for one brief moment...who am I to question it? |

Actually, that might be it...now that I think about it, I do keep a fish oil capsule in the pocket of my jeans for when I'm at work at lunchtime, and I washed them recently, so maybe it burst in the wash and leaked. That would mean that most of my clothes would smell of fish though, not just one small spot on my t-shirt sleave?? I was wondering when someone of the male gender would bring this up though! I don't think that's what it is, but thanks. I'm not in the habit of wiping myself with my t-shirt, especially not after just having washed it. I didn't realize that sort of thing was hard to remove though, so that's something new. The mystery continues.... Last edited by elucidate; 08-19-2011 at 02:35 AM.

Okay. Now I guess you'll have to go smell all the clothes that were in that machine at that time to find the spots that got tainted. Or maybe it's something different. Remember how in Ghostbusters, the ghosts tended to excrete ectoplasm...? |

Being serious for a moment - I've had fish caps pop in pockets once or twice, and I can vouch for the fish-smell-where-it-doesn't belong phenomenon... Last edited by Wax Frog; 08-20-2011 at 12:06 AM.

I wonder if it has any connection with the fact that whenever I buy food and walk home with it, it disappears before I get there? And NO, I didn't eat it! I think there is something cosmically amiss here! Quote:
