hmmm I always thought 'Johnny Alpha' (aka Strontium Dog) from the 2000ad comic strip was awesome, but if I were to be an X man it would have to be wolverine I guess. . but Johnny Alpha is my first choice

I would choose biokinesis I'm a bit claustrophobic having the ability to become tiny erases that fear, I also have big fear of permanently damaging my body.

Something like accelerated healing would be cool also.

I really love Mystique, and her powers. But if *I* were a mutant of that sort, I'd want...well actually it's hard to think of anything more awesome and useful than being a shapeshifter.

I think it'd be more fun in this thread to ask other people what they think my power would be.

But seriously, someone needs to start selling "Mutant and Proud" t-shirts. Maybe they could replace Dawkin's "We are All Africans" ones.

I must admit I quit watching the original series halfway through season 2. I'm more of a TNG and Voyager boy, Captain Janeway over Spock any-day

I honestly don't know very many mutants. Storm is pretty cool. I have this irrational fear/fascination with strong winds and twisters. I'd make twisters pop up at a safe distance and watch them.

i cant be satisfied with one power, I WANT EVERYTHING! lol, its hard to choose..i was watching MISFITS and their mutant powers were based on some type of struggle they were having deep withing themselves so mine would be shapeshifting...but if we're talking about x-men then i guess i would go with jean's psychokinesis

Misfits is a great show !! Maybe you like something where you can take someone else's power like Sylar.

I like all cats, though I like the domestic ones better as I can actually interact with them and have a role in shaping their personality (I wonder if zoologists feel this way about 'big cats' though? )

They changed this video last time I saw it, but the range of noises that different 'big cats' make is awesome. The sand cat is the best though

I lovve the tiger moan too. I like the chuffing/prusten sound too. It is a 'hello' or a signal that they are on friendly terms. Sounds like it may be trickery though... *come here little children*

I'd be invisible no compitition...my god...I would cause SO much trouble if I were invisible.

I'd be a super villain!

First order of business would be to sneak into a military base just for shits and giggles. Get inside a tank and shoot it at a tree.

They'd think it was a malfunction! xD

Next would be to sneak into a school where I would scare the **** out of teachers and students making them think the school was haunted. I would write in big letters on the chalkboard 'KILLL KILLLL KILLLLLL!!!!' I would also go to the bandroom and play the tuba.

After that adventure I would go to a bank and steal millions of dollars in money without anyone ever knowing who cleaned out the bank. I might stay a couple of days and just observe the attendants (No rush). That way I could safely steal money without dye-packs and money with loaded numbers.

Eventually I would find a way that I would have to go to jail. Just so that I could escape it without any problems. ****, I'd make myself go to prison and escape it. Just for the challenge.

Then I would sneak into the file cabinets and my name for escaping prison would 'mysteriously' vanish off of all records.

After I did that I would continue my reign of terror where I would sneak onto airplanes and travel the world. Just a little 'free' vacation in between taking over the world.

After that I would be headed to Seattle where I would find and sneak into the Bill Gates Mansion. I would find and rewrite Bill Gate's will all to me (**** his family) so that everything he had would go to me when he died. I would also get the Bill Gates Foundation Charity Work where I would collapse the whole charity by taking out all the money and putting it into my own bank account.

But first I would arrange for a meeting between him and Mark Zuckerberg (Whom I would also rewrite his will completely to me in secrecy) on a helicopter. I would be hiding in the back while the two were conversating. Bill Gates would walk by the door of the chopper and 'mysteriously' fall out of it. Then I would force Mark Zuckerberg out of the chopper where he too would meet his end. KERSPLAT!

Then I would not only be invisible I would be the richest man in the world.

I would then buy out a couple of police stations so that I could do whatever I wanted. I would drive a tank and blow up cars that pissed me off or, perhaps, cars that didn't piss me off.

The rest of my plans must stay secret.

If only I were invisible....

Did you ever read The Chrysalids by John Wyndham? It is about a group of telepathic children. I sometimes wonder what our life would be like if we could read each others thoughts. There would be no privacy. I'm not sure if this is a bad thing or a good thing... At least there would be no 'babel, babel, babel' (may be).

What if you just wanna lean on a wall and wouldn't you just fall through the floor Why not just choose teleportation and avoid walking altogether.

yes i see what you mean lol. but don't the x men have control over their powers? I haven't seen the film so i don't know.Providing i could switch it on and off i would deffinitely still opt fot this power!

I like the idea of authenticity too. It is sort of scary, but at the same time, it would be a big relief because it would basically be throwing your self out for all the world to see. And then, they either have to accept it or not. There are too many opportunitites to hide behind the human mind as it is now.

It would be interested to see who remains your friend and who does not.

I have so many dreams that I can fly. That I would have to say my mutant power would be to do this. I wake up so disappointed when I realise it was only a dream... It feels so real in my dream state.
