This might sound really ditzy and shallow, but I had to share that I love my new green leather jacket.

Who loves leather jackets.

Share pics please.

I don't have a camera anymore, so I will have to wait til my new mp3 arrives before I can share this awesome creation with the world. GOD how I love this jacket.

I've got two leather jackets, a brown suede one and a black one. I love both of them and get compliments on them all the time. The brown one's liner's starting to wear down, though. Sooner or later I might look into getting it re-lined, or see about doing it myself.

I don't like leather jackets for myself, but on others (men and women) I think they are extremely sexy!!

I love the feel of them when hugging or walking together... it's when I refuse to hold hands and instead want to hug their arms.......

Anyone who wants to seduce me would do good to start of with wearing a leather jacket...

I'll make sure to bring mine to Mexico when I come down this winter! Is it cold enough to need a jacket, though? I'd rather not bring one if I won't really need it.

Not to ruin the thread, or anything, but I recently heard that one of the ingredients of the chemicals used in tanning leather was urine.

I remember this, everytime I look at anything leather, anymore.

I think you'd be truly disgusted if you ever realized just how many things are made with urea.

That depends entirely on your plans of seducing me of course

Anyway... for about 2 or 3 weeks in the winter it gets REALLY cold here. Especially because there usually isn't any heating in the houses... like, 5 degrees Celsius cold!

For the rest it is colder at night (around 10 degrees?) and warming in the sun 15 to 20 degrees.

You get to convert to Fahrenheit yourself... feeling lazy today!

Oh well, I work around urine every second day (STD lab) so it really doesn't phase me...meh!

You can buy dried urea to use in mixing with paint for a certain effect. I'm not sure what animals urea it is though?

The Romans used to wash their togas in urine for it's bleaching qualities. It's an anti-septic.

Since I can't send a photo, I will just have to describe it...even if no one on the forum is even interested.

It fits like a glove, tight fitting, dark green, soft leather at the arms and harder on the chest, with two zip pockets that are just above the breast level and horizontal not on an angle. It makes the most wonderful squeaks when I move...

It belonged to this woman's mother who handed it down to her, so it's not like I'm supporting the leather manufacturers, just making sure some old hide doesn't go to waste!

$50...it's gotta be worth $250. What a steal.

Yes, it's winter here, so I needed some extra hide on me...for protection of course.
