| Invisible If I could become invisible, my life would be very simple. I could steal money instead of having to work for it. Or I could go into a restaurant, have a meal, go to the bathroom, become invisible and just walk out without paying. I could be a stow-away on beautiful yachts and cruises, or on a plane to Fiji. Some things I would do I am too embarrassed to even write about. But how do I become invisible? They say you lose weight if you consume less calories than you burn. Does that mean if I stop eating enough, I will disappear eventually? Some people are already invisible, even though they would give anything just to be noticed. Funny how we seem to want things that others would love to get rid of. Maybe being invisible is not so great after all. My father's job My father used to be a piano teacher. It was his job, and he hated it. He also had a wife and two kids. I am not sure how much he hated us, but were we his job too? My mother used to tell me he was a good husband, but a lousy father. Why does a person who doesn't like kids, have them anyway? It always reminds me of a scene from the movie "Parenthood", where one of the kids says "Hell, you need a license to catch a fish, but they'll let any ******* be your father." They say that our relationship with our parents reflects our relationship with our cosmic parent figures: God the Father and Mother Earth. Apparently atheists always have a strained relationship with their dad, which would explain the strained relationship with the idea of a heavenly father, God, in other words. Suddenly I don't feel like writing about this anymore… Lying The worst kind of lying is the lying you do to yourself Church Reasons for going to church: 1. You have nothing better to do 2. You want to admire the architecture and paintings 3. You have never been before 4. You want to blow it up 5. You want to have sex there 6. You listen to a lecture to cure your insomnia Why I don't go to church 1. I hate listening to pompous jibberish 2. There is always something to do that is more fun 3. It's too cold there 4. I can't stand organ music Freedom The only real freedom is death. War War, what is it good for? The economy. Peace There will be peace on earth when people are gone. The scariest thing that ever happened to me was being born. Strange dreams I used to dream I could fly by flapping my arms like a bird! I believe in God because… the Universe is obviously not random, so something had to create it. I don't believe in God because… I don't want to give Him the satisfaction. Scared Why do some people enjoy being scared? Growing up When has someone grown up? When he's 20, 30, succesful, married with children? I don't feel grown up and hope I never will. Television It's America's babysitter. My best friend God's way of apologizing for my parents My biggest accomplishment Staying alive Mirrors When I look in the mirror, who is the "I" that is seeing the "me" in the mirror? If I knew that I had only one week to live I would spend all my money. Leadership Isn't it ironic that most political leaders in the world are very bad role models? Television is worth watching because… it shows you what NOT to do! Some of the things our world could do without McDonalds Starbucks Idols Me Having it all Manuel's theory: The people who try to have it all, are the ones who have the least Advice Take advice from whoever is nearest and you’ll end up wishing people weren’t so stupid. Me Helly everyone! My name is Manuel and there is only 1 me! The meaning of Life It’s God’s Comedy Channel My religion Only 1 commandment: Do whatever the hell you want. |

| You share your inner most thoughts with me (and others here). You've reminded me how difficult it is when you are stuck (for the moment) in your fears. You've shown me how far I've come, and how much confidence I have that everybody can move beyond the fear. You exist in my reality as a caring and loving person, who's posts make me think and consider. |
