I suppose there are few Americans who appreciate Jacques Tati, but here's a find. Note the confussion of the briefcases and the door handles. I've begun to realise there aren't any music stores , anymore...not like there used to be. Growing up, it was part of my life to ride down and get the latest Who album, couldn't wait to get the Aqualung album, occasionally get a needle for the phonograph. Wal-Mart is about the only place, in my area, to get CD's, and it's a very limited, mainstream selection. I remember record stores that had aisles and aisles of hard-to-find records (Iron Butterfly "Ball"). There are few, if any, music stores anymore. This has prompted me to begin the Search For Good Music, and not off the internet. I realised, in returning to producing videos, that I need a music resource, and also that I had promised myself to replace my music library over time. When I threw out the old, scratchy vinyl records, I made that promise to myself. That was 25 years ago. I WILL say that it has been a small joy to find stuff like Deep Purple in Wal-Mart's bargain bin...$5. But lots of artists are not available at all, on Wal-Mart's shelves. |

| Leslie Neilson 1926~2010 I was saddened to learn of Leslie Neilson's death. He remains one of my favorite comedians of all time, and introduced a wonderful twist in comedy which definitely influenced my own humor. He was a treasure, and like Harvey Korman, the loss is irreplaceable. Thank you for your laughter. Tribute to the great Leslie Nielsen 1926-2010. (Few of his best Performences) - YouTube |
