I'm being continually teased today! I just got home from signing the lease and completing the walk through inspection of our new place. We took the bus home, but since I was unfamilar with the route, I was a little anxious. I cursed under my breath that may be the bus wasn't coming after all because of all the construction barriers on the road. My mother starts laughing gleefully. I look over. "What are you laughing at?'" "What is c***-struction?" Big smile on her face. Damnit, I said construction! I didn't not mention ***** in any shape or form. |

More stories! I had an older woman approach me today at work and she started telling me how I ought to look more feminine. Ok. Thats fine. I talked to her about femininity, attraction and personal appearances for a good 10 minutes in between other customers. At one point, she doesn't realize that there are other customers behind her so she keeps talking to me. I don't interrupt her because the other customers look like they are busy packaging stuff. Out of the blue she says, 'Oh! I understand now! You are of the other nature!' 'Huh?' My response was involuntary and confused (what the hell does that mean, 'the other nature'?). In a lounder voice, 'You are of the other nature?' The other customers stop what they are doing and look at me for a response. 'Er...' Awkward! |

I left two shopping bags of groceries and meat somewhere between my home and the shops...and I have no idea where they are? I realized about one house away from my home while I was walking home, that the bags were no longer in my hand...I have no idea where I left them? It doesn't really make me laugh at myself...but I just needed to tell someone. |

Aww, I've done stuff like this before too. I once lost a pair of glasses on the LRT by just absent mindedly walking away from my backpack. Luckily, I didn't lose anything else of value. But it really is irksome to lose stuff like that. Quote:

I sat with some vegan anarchists on the way home and had a slice of rhubarb pie they were selling at their little stall, and I remember picking up the bags when I left. After that I didn't sit down anywhere, just went into a shop briefly and had a look around. I must have literally let go of them at some point and just kept walking. It's like some temporary amnesia. It's a bit freaky. How could I not notice they weren't in my hand for twenty whole minutes? My brain has been so fuzzy the last two days. | |

I used to go into my parents bedroom during the day and sprawl on their bed and stare at the bathroom door, which was always a little ajar. I had this trick I played with my eyes which gave the impression that I could see right through the door. It was as if the middle of the door disappeared and I had x-ray vision...which always made me laugh. I did, for a while, think I did have x-ray vision though. |

Wtf: Apparently I've been replying to visitor messages on my own wall. I don't know whether I should find this funny or whether I should go bury my head in shame... how absent minded could I possibly get? Oh... lets just laugh. |

I should stop posting in this thread. I might portray my life as if it were one big joke. One of my former coworkers was from China, and although her named was spelled 'Yan', I noticed that the other Chinese coworkers dropped the N and seemed to pronounce it as 'Ya'. So I asked her about it. She told me 'Ya' was wrong as Chinese words can convey different meanings depending upon the intonation of your voice. By this time, two of my other coworkers were participating in this conversation and our restaurant had been turned into a semi-language teaching class. 'Ya! Ya! Ya!' 'No, No! Thats not it! Try harder! (Big smile on her face) 'Ya! Ya! Ya!' 'Try again! (shes laughing pretty hard now) I think she was being serious about the intontation thing, but I think she just got a kick out of making the three of us 'cluck' like school children. |
