Default [kinda adult] ...moreover, your mother is fat... furthermore, she is very fat!

I was teaching one of my students about "connectors" yesterday. I thought it was an appropriate situation to teach him the American tradition of "yo momma" jokes.

using the connector words (in fact, moreover, furthermore, for one thing, for another thing, in conclusion) we had to construct a retoric regarding your mum.

a sample:

Your mother is fat. In fact, your mother is VERY fat. Furthermore, she is so fat that when she tried to have sex with a hippopotamus, she crushed it. MOREOVER, she actually did have sex with the crushed remains.

On the one hand, your mother is a whale. On the other hand, I had a great time with her last night.

To sum up, your mother is so massive that other whales don't want to be friends with her. Futhermore she smells so bad that skunks hate her. In conclusion, she doesn't deserve to exist.

Yeah, Andrew, this isn't how yo mama jokes go. Yo mama jokes evolved from "playin the dozens" (and I have earned my street cred keeping up with the dozens, it gets pretty heinous in the ghettooooooo)

The Dozens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Because I always have links. Social psychology, oh hai.

Would you prefer to teach children mindless defferal to authority?

Where did that come from? I don't mean to be snarky - I genuinely don't see the connection.

Teachers should not be teaching children things like this and allowing them to think this is acceptable.

There are plenty of opportunities for children to learn these things via the Internet, god only knows children have enough access to this content, not through a teacher.

Having sex with an animal and then Squishing said animal and then, on top of all that, having sex with it's remains? And you wrap it all up in a nice package of degrading mothers and condoning beastiality. That's one sick statement to be teaching children.

People like you are the reason schools have bad reputations. No wonder people are home schooling.

Lol. People like me. You don't know me.

I'm a private teacher, and my student wasn't a child - he's 17.

You can teach people anything you want to of course and I applaud you for the intention of teaching them while having fun, thereby making learning more fun...

However, I don't know why, but somehow I expected more from you.... I wouldn't have expected you to find jokes about degrading people funny... or using them in examples...

Oh well... maybe my lack of sense of humor is playing up again....

No, most conventional teachers teach deferral to authority... assuming the poster above supports conventional teaching, they are for mindless drone conditioning but against absurd jokes about having sex with a squished hippopotamus...? Therein the irony.

My sense of humour is particular, I guess some of it comes from the offensiveness in itself. Think South Park. (I'm guessing you're not a fan of South Park).

I can make other sorts of jokes too - I adapt myself to my audience.

Plus, if you don't let that evil bastard inside all of us out and run for a bit it gets cranky and nasty and mean and goes on to hurt people.

Save innocent children. Tell dirty jokes!
