The ULTIMATE Member Battle! (Health Point Based Game)

The members shall battle until there is only one! Yes, that means I have an awesome game to share with you all!

At the bottom of this post is a list of members from this forum (feel free to add others to this list during the first page of this game). Each member has one-hundred health points.

Each time somebody posts, they must add ten health points to one member and take away twenty health points from another member. It's a bit like the member gaining health just "attacked" the member losing health, stealing their energies...

A member is eliminated when they reach zero health points.

I am going to post an example below, and I must note that the health list of members must be updated every time you add and take away health. Post the updated health list at the bottom of your post, so that the next person to post can easily continue the game.

Here is an example, using three names:

Steve - 100 HP
Erin - 100 HP
Angela - 100 HP

Poster One:

Steve + 10 HP
Erin - 20 HP

Steve - 110 HP
Erin - 80 HP
Angela - 100 HP

Poster Two:

Steve + 10 HP
Angela - 20 HP

Steve - 120 HP
Erin - 80 HP
Angela - 80 HP

Poster Three:

Angela + 10 HP
Steve - 20 HP

Steve - 100 HP
Erin - 80 HP
Angela - 90 HP

Poster Four:

Erin + 10 HP
Angela - 20 HP

Steve - 100 HP
Erin - 90 HP
Angela - 70 HP

End example…

As you can see, it really is a simple system to follow. So, I will now post the actual list and the next poster can begin the game.

Remember, you add 10 HP to one member and take 20 HP from another. You then update the member list accordingly and post it at the bottom of your post. When a member reaches zero, simply remove them from the list.

Another thing you can do to make it all clearer, though it isn’t entirely necessary, is ‘bold’ the names of the two members you just made changes to in the list.

There’s so freakin’ many of you, I’m sure I’ve missed plenty of people. As mentioned, feel free to add other members to this list during the first page of the game (you can add yourself too). After the first page, no more members can be added!

The List:

Erin Pavlina - 100 HP

I'm sorry you think a game like this takes anything more than a few minutes to create. It personally took me a few minutes. However, I am agoraphobic and have various mental disorders that do keep me locked away.

Nice of you to share your ignorant thoughts, though. ;)

It was a jocular remark made at the elaborate game that you presented and nothing more.

I have noticed that my way of communicating seems to strike a wrong chord with more than a few people on these forums. This has made me want to withdraw from posting anything more here.

I am a fairly new member here and have stuck mainly to the fun and recreation section to lighten up from the more serious of life issues that we all surely endure at some point along the way.

I have no ignorant thoughts to share with you or anyone else

Fair enough, one just has to be cautious, particularly when it comes to typing online because you can't be sure who exactly is reading it and how they're interpreting it.

In my case, I don't actually get out much, but it's due to 'problems' that I have and it is a huge and depressing deal in my life that I'm trying to fix. So, when someone makes a comment about something I've done and how I need to get out more (I've had it on many occasions across different forums when making an effort to do something), it angers me, especially on those occasions when that thing I've done actually took a few minutes. It's an insult for me, personally. People who know me in the real world wouldn't make certain comments like that for obvious reasons, joke or otherwise.

But, hey, this game for example, the base is really just the following:

Each member has 100 health points. Those who wish to post simply add 10 health points to one member and take 20 from another.

It doesn't really take a long time to think of that (it would actually be sad if it did). My post is long as I wanted to give a strong example and to repeat myself to make sure those who wish to play along and pass time understood it.

So, that's about it really.

Alas, too true!

Liberal use of emoticons and the habit of rereading one's text once or twice before posting are both good habits. Take it from one Frog who's hurt more than a few feelings along the way. Not a fun process, but I did learn from it, quite well, and hopefully continue to do so...

Being a semi-recovered agoraphobic myself, I definitely feel for what you must have gone, and be going, through. For me, as you, the Internet and forums like this are something of a lifeline.
