ACH! HSSS! Waxxxsy Kryptoniteses!!! We hates Steely Dans, we hates 'em!!!

Seriously, the one genre of music I generally cannot stand is jazz, and guess who was strongly influenced by it? If you wanted to break me during an interrogation, you'd need do nothing but make me listen to 'Deacon Blues' over and over

Dude, look at the sound track, something for everyone:

Remember this term? Album Oriented Rock. Where did that go?

1)That is a crazy mix, for sure!

2) Dowloadable (cherry-pick-able) music, short attention spans, multiplying media outlets/formats, take your pick...

Do it man, do it.

You know, the other thing I miss? Headphones. Not these sissy little ear-wax coated bud things that you cram inside your ear. But real headphones. Big, kinda heavy. They went AROUND your ears. Blocked out all external sound. The most incredible bass sound possible. Crystal clear highs. Perfect.

In the 70's and 80's I would pay NO LESS than $100 for a set of Koss headphones. Oh, if only CD's were available in those days, i would not have the scratchy background noises etched (by compression) into my few remaining brain cells.

Me and my dad have been doing headphone research lately, borrowed very many different ones. The ideal thing is a headphone that is closed enough for me to use while drumming AND listening to music at the same time, and it should be able to do the job as a great sounding headphone for listening to music, mixing and stuff. What I have heard, though, is that as long as a headset is totally closed, there will be a quite big bass reduction unfortunately simply due to the laws of physics or whatever. It has something to do with the air apparently. If you know any headphones that block out external sound (like a big tight *PHOMP*) and still give good bass sound? Or anyone other people here for that matter? I just know we were told that these sort of closed headphones couldn't have as much bass.. we even tried several closed headphones (not KOSS), and there wasn't enough bass..

Band: Led Zep
Song: [opting to say later]
Album: Supertramp, "Breakfast In America"

This is tough for me, 'cause I'm nuts about so much music...its hard to pick favorites, but here goes...

Band: the Beatles
Album: Exile on Main Street, by the Rolling Stones
Song: Whole Lotta Love, by Led Zeppelin

...of course I might edit this post and change these selections later!
