Take a look -- your astrological sign may have changed! Unfortunately, my boyfriend is no longer a Scorpio; he has been converted to Virgo. I hope we're still compatible! |

Ooh, Leo/Scorpio sounds very passionate. I am an Aquarius according to the new configuration -- opposite your Leo! :P I have Venus in Aquarius anyway, so I sort of vibe with that, but in the end I resonate more deeply with the Pisces emotionality than the Aquarius intellectual detachment. I'm definitely more of an intellectual Pisces than the usual frail flower depiction, though. |

Now a Leo instead of a Virgo. Still doesn't fit me and I don't believe in astrology still. I'm honestly not sure why it is fun to use these signs and stuff. Doesn't appeal to me. Last edited by st33med; 01-13-2011 at 11:45 PM. |

I really don't think much can be told from someone's astrological sign, but as always, there are some people who fit the bill and some who don't. What the hell happened with the Earth to create such a change. Did we just lose a month or something? Is it eventually going to be Christmas in July?

Yep, this is nothing new it's the precession of the signs. Western astrology doesn't use the actual position of the constellations, instead historical positions. Astrology is kind of weird like that, but you will find history and timing of things to be at the heart of astrology anyway. In terms of accuracy, the normal zodiac is best, but for some reason when it comes to determining the strength (e.g. exaltation) of a planet placed in a sign the Vedic (the one you're bringing to our attention) is used for best results. This info comes from the most experienced astrologers who have decades and decades of looking at patterns. So you can be an Aries but if your sun is in Pisces in the Vedic chart then your sun is not as strong (the sun is exalted in Aries). So you will still be an Aries just not an exalted one. |

So, I'm an Aries now. Hm. And hubby a Virgo. Nah, I definitely preferred when we were both ruled by Venus. Rather than being ruled by Mars and Mercury. Though it makes sense, since I have a bit of that in me (the fire temperament of Mars...and hubby is quite intellectual). Okay. Could do.

Well, hell, all this work I did on myself this year transformed the earth's access so that I am no longer a wishy-washy Libra. I'm now...a Virgo! Dun dun dun! Astrology gurus, inform me what that means about me now that I'm a Virgo. (Also, if we're thanking heavens for things, then Thank heavens for 7-11 as well!) |

| Your Zodiac Sign May Not Be What You Think It Is. The summary of this is that the dates for the astrological signs are different from what was previously thought. There's now also a 13th sign, Ophiuchus. Around the forums, I've occasionally seen people use the zodiac signs as tools for mapping their tendencies. I haven't studied astrology in-depth (i.e. I don't understand the effect of planets' and moons' alignment), but this news made me very curious: I wanna know how any zodiac-enthusiasts are responding. If, according to this development, you're now a different sign than before (for example, I "was" a Cancer, but now I'm a Gemini), what implications will this have in how you use astrology? Did you used to have a sign you didn't think matched you, but now have a sign that matches you better? Did the opposite happen? In short, how does it change how you look at astrology, if at all? | New Zodiac Sign Chart With Ophiuchus Ophiuchus has been added for the new year for people born after 2009. Although I'm not into the astrology thing and never check my daily horoscope. I'm still very peeved about about losing the symbolism of it I've always been a proud Sagittarius I remember even the day i found out and saw a Centaur shooting a arrow as my symbol and felt connected with it. Its like waking to find out sydney is now part of new zealand and im a new-zealander |

And for the Libras out there, yes, I'm married to a lovely Libra and so happy I am (but he also has an ascending Capricorn so he's not wishy-washy, as James calls it).

The forum software won't let me yell, that's interesting. Wouldn't it be great if that happened in real life -- you yell, and free-floating airware converts your yell to a little girly whisper? That could be very funny, if you know some yelly people.

Not recommended to do it all the time though. It can get really irritating.

My understanding is that because of the earth wobbling it's taken 5000 years for the constellations to change almost a sign so nothing's suddenly happened now or in 2009.
