We have some that we planted and some we did not get around to plant so they are still in the pots, the ones we planted are very tall now...very pretty .

Poofter drink was a light beer. Apparently .

poofter beer - a derogatory term for any of a variety of canned and bottled pre-mixed coloured alcoholic drinks if drunk by a man
Appendix:Australian English terms for food and drink - Wiktionary (wiki has everything)

$22.50 Australian for a beer! (about the same in US, I checked)
I'd feel like a "poofter" for paying that much.

You're lucky you haven't seen the cringeworthy "ab-original" menu they used to have!

Hey I knew a girl from Wisconsin who said bubbler for a water fountain. She also said "grill out" for barbecue.

criminy
used to express surprise, anger, etc.
Curse word of the 1600’s meaning Christ.

willy nilly
Willy-nilly

sheesh
Used to express mild annoyance, surprise, or disgust.

gessy pessy
Not sure of the spelling. Heard it as kid but haven't found anything on it.
I think it's similar to "for crying out loud."
