Do you have any body mods? (Of any kind?) Do you want any? What do you think of 'em? I had my ears pierced at one point, and they looked awesome if I do say so myself, but they were a pain in the ass and eventually grew over. |

Pierced ears, tattoo. I'd like more tats, but they are expensive and my kids' needs come first. My daughter has gages in her ears and routinely dyes her hair different colors (like turquoise or red). My son just lets his hair grow really, really long. |

Yes. Ears, one twice; navel, brow, lip. Four small tattoos that are relatively easy to cover. I think it can look helluh sexy and it can look awful. It's all just a matter of what folks get, where they get it, how much or little, and how they carry themselves. I think when it comes to these things it helps to think a bit long term. As in, I might have gotten some of my ink in different locations for professional reasons. Easy to cover but could have been easier. If I stuck with my previous interests it would have been peachy but I changed my focus. Which is exactly why I think it's good to think about the possibilities before mod-ing. As in, sure we may think we want to do x for income but then we may switch to y. And well, with my chosen line of work aside from my intuitive business, I can't wear the jewelry for safety reasons. Someone in a psychotic break could yank out a ring and it would be a big mess. I was worried that I would get mean looks from clients but so far people have been cool. Either totally neutral or I get some cred and respect when they see it. Nice surprise. |

I have my ears pierced five times and my nose pierced. I used to have a navel piercing but it rejected (I have a lurvely scar now though!). And I want my nipples pierced but I'm too scared! Oh, I also lately have been lusting after a vertical labret (in the center of my lower lip) but I don't think that's gonna happen. Last edited by Criseyde; 01-05-2011 at 02:48 AM. |

Honestly I am not nearly as attached to my mod-ing as I was until the last few months. I'm just not as caught up in being outgoingly different I guess. (I can go to the UU church in the Southern Baptist capital of the world for that!)

| I don't either, particularly, but she manages to work them quite well. My parents freaked out when I got a second piercing in my left ear! They said I'd never get a job in a decent office. My first boss had piercing all the way up both ears. Helllllllo, 1980's. |

If I were to choose a body mod, that would be the one. I'd look Link then: ![]() Then I probably would be an unstoppable force of girl attraction with a kilt like that!

And if you are not 100% confident that your income-generation choice is mod-friendly, and not 100% confident that your choice will never ever change to something potentially less so,... ...you can always just go for the nipples or genitals. (Of course, nipple piercing means perpetually hard nipples, but they make decent bras to deal with that nowadays.) |

I just have my ears pierced twice. No tatts or radical piercings, but I do love labrets and the one where the bridge of the nose meets the middle of the brow...a bolt through there looks fab on some people. |

Hopefully if that happens I'll have undergone a shift like yours.

One of my best friends in my teens was a Scorpio girl. We still keep in touch, but not so much these days. Seems like I only get one in my life at a time, but there haven't been any in years... time to stock up!

Heh heh heh, my younger cousin once got his buddy to pierce his ears for him with a pin. Apparently, it hurts like hell. If you have money, get a professional to do it. Let's all learn from his mistake. Quote:
