And funny enough, I was just about to post about the magnetic thing! Sounds fascinating to me, but it does sound there could be some drawbacks. It's one I have on my mind though...extra perception is a good thing in my book, and the world we live in is full of electric and magnetic forces. I think I'll wait and let other people experiment with it more so I have more info to draw from. That sounds gorgeous!

I got my nipples pierced on a dare from my then-fiancee. My nipples were less sensitive than the skin surruonding them beforehand, so I wasn't risking anything. Kinda fun. I've been planning some tattoos for years now, but they're very extensive, will require months more translating work which I don't have the energy for, and cost thousands of dollars to get done which I don't have spare. Also, my now-wife doesn't like the idea of me getting them. So we'll have to negotiate that point :-) Last edited by PipHunn; 01-06-2011 at 10:55 PM. Reason: Spelling. |

I've been very curious about those for a long time. You don't have to answer of course, but does it do anything for you? Does the effect wear off? How sensitive were you before the piercing? I'd like to get something to, er, facilitate things, but I'm extremely sensitive as it is and worry that the jewel would feel overwhelming or painful. Or if you can point me towards some reading material, I'd appreciate it as well! For a few years now, I've been entertaining the pipe dream of getting an arm band tattoo made of birds and flowers of all the places in the world that I've lived in and that are meaningful to me. Lily flower for my hometown, poppies for California, tulips for Holland, cherry blossoms and a crane for Japan, plumeria flowers for Bali, hibiscus for Korea...

I feel sort of boring after reading this thread lol... Well I have 8 ear piercings (7 in the lobes and one up the top), and 4 tattoos. I would like to increase my number of tatts but that costs $$$ so I need to save, and I also want a labret piercing, but will probably wait until my grandma passes away for that! (That sort of sounds horrible... but meh... she'd be darned horrified by it!)

Besides, if it makes you feel better, you have more pierced bits than I do I don't think tatts and piercings make a person more interesting. They can definately draw more attention to the person and create more conversation though, which can be interesting. I don't know. Do people get piercings and tatts to be more interesting to others? I thought it was always more of a personal thing for a lot of people?

I was pretty damn sensitive before. I was a bit worried about the stimulation being too much, but I've been really happy with it. I do cum faster now tho (mind, I was pretty fast before so ymmv The process itself is one quick, very painful moment. My nipples btw were MUCH worse. It heals faster than ANYTHING, which makes sense when you think about it (the body is very used to repairing small tears down there, and then there's the childbirth-ready factor). Ideally you should wait 6 weeks before having (vaginal) sex again (but a lot of people cheat that w/o consequence - know your own body.) You will want to be a bit careful with lacy panties, especially at first, as things can catch. Also, I would recommend having a second piece of jewelry as a backup should you ever lose a ball or somesuch. Anything I missed?

| Why what? Why get piercing or body mods? because some people like to. They enjoy enhancing their bodies with jewellery and pretty pictures. Some people feel like they are more connected to a particular tribe with piercings and tatts. Some people are in pain and getting a piercing is an expression of that pain. Some people see their bodies as a blank canvas to be filled in with art. Some people like the attention it brings them. People do things for many different reasons. |

I like tats because I'm a visual person who enjoys color, but as my skin is super sensitive, I'm not so much into piercings and other mods. My daughter just stretched her ears up another gage today, and that's her thing. I would never willingly do that to myself, because I'm rather fond of my ears the way they are (rather tiny). I see a lot of people on welfare with huge tats all over the place. How can they afford all that ink?! I don't ask.

As far as welfare people with tatts...who knows? They may have friends who are tattooists, or may be tattooists themselves? Either that or they went without food for a long time Some tatts look amazing on some people...other people, it looks hideous (IMO), and some people just want to look cool (which is fine, though I think it's a bit of a silly reason, personally!) I love tatts and some piercings, but I've never loved them enough or felt enough of an urge to actually get one. Last edited by elucidate; 01-08-2011 at 04:20 AM.

curiouslyrandom, are you talking about people you know on welfare? You must be, if you know they're on welfare. So I assume you know their financial histories and whatever gifts they've received in the past and how long they've been struggling? This is coming off belligerently, but I really don't intend for it to. Anyways, I would hate it if somebody saw my body bogs and judged me for having spent money on them. It's very possible that they decided body mods were a good investment, as they'll last forever and can be quite beautiful/meaningful. |
