Thanks but I think that word is a lost cause. I wrote it because I wanted it to exist rather than it be used. And thanks for appreciating my schemes. If no one did, there wouldn't be much of a point to them

Quick, think of an actor from the 20s! All I've got is Chaplin, myself. The thirties? Marx Brothers. Further, there are the Stooges, Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, The Odd Couple, Seinfeld and other future icons trundling about today. Comedy has staying power. Or maybe I just watch too much.

What's also funny is my latest nickname. I've had several, Mr. Michael when I was four, Uncle Tofu some time later and a very embarrassing nickname a friend gave me some time ago being the more notable ones. My latest is perhaps the best, depending on how much you like Uncle Tofu, I guess. My latest nickname is The Minister of Evil.

Now, maybe you're wondering how a laid-back fella like me gets a nickname like that. Let's just say I met a Christian who didn't take kindly to my pointing out how easy it is to get ordained and that I myself have two ordinations.

So I will from now on sign my posts, "The Minister of Evil". At least until I stop, anyway.

So you're saying it wasn't inordinately difficult?

Oh, and it took a bit of braincell straining, but how about Buster Keaton? I've striven to make my humor as base and unsophisticated as possible, btw

Comic actors? After Buster Keaton and Chaplin, only the Keystone Cops and the director Mack Sennett, whose actors were almost beside the point. I can give you a bunch of dramatic ones, though.

I like Uncle Tofu a lot. How'd you get that one?

Fair enough. Like I said, maybe I'm just such a comedy junky I have trouble naming non-comedic actors under sixty years old or so.

Unfortunately, that one was self-dubbed. It has lasted a very long time, though. You see, when my siblings and I were very young an aunt of ours was kind of suffocating and invasive in the way aunts are permitted to be. My sister took to acting as an over-the-top parody of her and called herself Aunt P----- (I remember what it was but would rather this didn't come up if she were to Google the name for fun). It says a lot about my family that she couldn't have been older than seven or eight at this time. Now, I thought this was hilarious and took to acting as a somewhat insane caricature of my uncles (I have five living uncles: wacky lawyer, straight-laced lawyer, affable welder, King of the Right Wing and omnilingual globetrotting bassist) called Uncle Tofu. The other brother was too young to sort out a character (although my sister thought it would be funny to make him a cross-dresser called Uncle Sally) and played the children in this game.

A typical dialogue might have gone like this:

Aunt P: Hello dearies! Aunt P---- has come to see you. Oh, how big you've grown. Oh, Tofu, dear, come see how they've grown!

Uncle T: Yes, children do that. Like weeds. Weeeeds. Yes. I'm Uncle Tofu.

....We were weird kids. This is what happens if you grow up with no other kids on your block.
