Oh God, I love this symphony. Before recently I never EVER listened to Brahms, but when I know he was usually grouped with the 3 Bs, Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, I gave him a shot. I bought this symphony and 4, take a listen. This is such a powerful piece (1:49 and 5:09 are my favorite parts): YouTube - Brahms: Symphony No.3 (Masur) 4/4 |

"A Song For Sleeping" by Stone Temple Pilots from their 2001 disc Shangri-LA DEE DA. Simply the most beautiful song ever written. It's a lullaby of sorts written for Scott Weiland's (then) 18 month old son Noah. Love it. I have 2 young sons...so maybe that's why it gets to me so much! Stone Temple Pilots A Song for Sleeping mp3 - Download from http://username.wrzuta.pl - Filestube.com (Can just listen at this link...don't have to download.) "So will you tell me the little things? What does God look like...and Angels wings? I don't remember these things, so would you teach them to me? So for the moment, I'll watch you breathe. And when you wake up in the morning and I pour the coffee, you're always smiling sweetly. And when you lie down to sleep I'll protect you from the demons of the night, While I'm watching you grow. Pray...there's so much I could teach you if you only had the time. Pray...there's so much God could teach you if you only had the time." Last edited by JoePike; 08-21-2010 at 07:09 PM. |

I've only listened to a few songs, but Ólafur Arnalds sort of has a Sigur Ros feel to it if you want to check it out. I think I like Sigur Ros better though... YouTube - Ólafur Arnalds - Fok YouTube - Ólafur Arnalds - 3055 Official Music Video | |
