He broke up with me shortly after, and I was devastated. It was the worst emotional pain I had ever felt, and I wondered if I'd survive. Then a couple of years later, he came back and we got together, sort of, except that I was already with another guy with whom I was going to go live in Portugal. So we yearned and ached and wished, he wanted to get married, but I went to Portugal with the new guy. He was ready for marriage and babies, and I was ready for travel and adventure. We went our separate ways and got what we wanted. In the meanwhile, I always thought of him as the love of my life. Fast forward some eons.... he tracked me down last November, we were both free, the timing was excellent for both of us, I had only a couple days before declared to the universe that I was ready for a mate -- and *POOF* there he was, as if a genie had conjured him up. He said, "I've always thought of you as the love of my life." <cue music and roll credits> edit: oh, wait, the PICTURE .... when he got married, he destroyed all of the photos of our hot vacation.... but he kept the NEGATIVES which were all corroded and grody all these years later. He had this one restored, so it feels like a primal, sexy artifact of an ancient love that's been pulled out of a vault from a shipwreck at the bottom of the sea. Angela, this part of your life would make a great movie. It's one of those stories that sounds too good to be true but is at the same time totally believable! | |

This is my favorite picture of me - Halloween two years ago - I was a warrior princess. I've always loved fantasy/sci-fi, so this was a moment I got to live the fantasy - LOL. ![]() I look so mean, and I'm not at all, so that's also why I love it. Last edited by Nemosyne; 05-14-2010 at 05:28 PM. |

I've got a lust for life, but truly, I just want to be sedated. Actually I am an old (figuratively) punker, and being a girl drummer is always something that's fascinated me. The only part I can't see is the naked - I'm way too shy - LOL. Actually, I can't see the onstage part either - but the inside me thinks the image you painted is true. I was born in the 70's - ahahaha! Quote:

And the most watched wedding on television, ever. Wild, huh? Hw4B, I ran into "Scotty Baldwin" (along with his pal "Peter" from the Brady Bunch) at a celebrity tennis tournament way back then, at the height of his heyday. Very flirtatious encounter! Sorry for the topic tendril. Now back to our favourite pics! |

Angela, what a pity your needs weren't synchronised. Is he married now? (As in how come you're not together as you seem you love each other?). I've been very lucky i guess that our wishes were matching, we started with the travels and adventures, then wanted children at the same time...and something tells me when the children are a bit older more travels and adventures (i mean overseas... we've had some good holidays and adventures interstate as our son has always been great with travels, he was 5 months old first time he got on a plane).
