Default Ridiculous Reactions/E-mails/Etc.

So I thought it'd be fun to start a thread on ridiculous e-mails or reactions we've received to things we've done since Steve & Zach's e-mails were so ridiculous. You can just post whatever you've received here, and the rest of us can react to them. I'll start below!

I got in this insult war with some guy who started abusing me on MSN, and I kicked his ass, but I can't be bothered posting it, because it's just too negative and childish..

This is not email but face to face.

When I was working in Japan, I had a colleague who I thought was a little weird. But we got along nicely without many problems. When my contract was over and it was time to leave Japan, I went to say goodbye to her. She just dismissed me with "no, no. I am busy."

I thought she did not understand why I came to see her. There was also another colleague with me who was equally surprised. He said to her, "He is going back. He has come to say bye." No effect. "No, no. I am very busy."

I returned without saying bye.

I could never figure out this weird incidence. People are strange sometimes.

I have a relationship blog (that I'm not writing a lot on at the moment), and somebody posted a comment on it.

It started very nice, with saying how much they liked my post... and then it went on about how it is such a shame that a beautiful girl like me was together with an ugly Mexican who could not even bother to smile in a picture and how I deserved better....

Really....

That is how he thought he could write, about MY HUSBAND? on MY blog...???

Some people are just plain weird....

I've had one or more websites since 1994, and I've gotten loads of obnoxious and stupid emails from random strangers who took exception to something or other I'd written. Sometimes they wanted to "set me straight", sometimes they wanted to tell me if I didn't change my attitude I'd go to hell, sometimes they called me a nutjob (yeah, because I'm the one sending rude emails to complete strangers?!), sometimes they wanted me to "send info" on the website topic, as if I was keeping something from them or hiding secret information I hadn't put online, sometimes they just couldn't seem to go on with their life without giving me a piece of their mind, which, for some of them, was probably dangerous, because it wouldn't leave them much to work with.

Probably one of the stupidest ones I ever got was in relation to an essay I wrote once where I used a particular diamond (my own) as a metaphor. I mean, it was so totally obvious I was using it metaphorically, I can't see how anyone with a brain would miss the metaphorical content, but I once got a very huffy email from someone who decided that I needed a lesson in diamond quality, cut, colour, etc. I mean, WTF?! They didn't even include a return address so I could write back and SAY, "WTF are you talking about?!"

Honestly, I don't understand it. I've read a LOT of stuff I thought was stupid or wrong or with which I didn't agree, but I don't think I've ever felt the uncontrollable urge to send rude emails to complete strangers.

Dear Advertisers,
I am disgusted with the way old people are depicted on television.
We are not all vibrant, fun-loving sex maniacs. Many of us are bitter,
resentful individuals who remember the good old days when entertainment
was bland and inoffensive. The following is a list of words I never
want to hear on television again. Number one: Bra. Number two: Horny.
Number three: Family Jewels.
