yyYYYAWN! Hey, there! Good to see ya. I went to bed fairly early and slept well. I'm almost ready for another day in the salt mines. I think I can get away with NOT shaving today. I can usually go three days before people start murmuring "Charles Manson" when I walk into the post office (to see if they FINALLY took my poster down). |

Actually, they put an UNWANTED poster up. It didn't do much for my self-steam. Particularly the little horns and mustache someone drew on it. I looked WAY too much like my father after that.

~ Samuel Butler So you then became Paul Sparrow's client. HDTDT is right up your alley. $130?? I still can't get that out of my head.

Paul Sparrow had a really nice place out in Falls Church, Virginia. I met him through a network of realtors. He had a GORGEOUS golden retriever who used to tolerate Sunshine during my visits. And the morning sun has risen further, time to scurry outta the Rat Hole, into the Rolling Ghetto and head to work. |

I hope you have a great day with Canine Satisfaction...please take some pitcherz fer us all to see. (More synchronicity with your camera...synchronicity was bouncing off the walls, yesterday! Makes me wonder what kind of full moon this month's will be...) "Rolling Ghetto"...winter is so hard on our cars. All the trash that piles up on the passenger floorboards. More Jimmy Hoffa migration oppertunities. |

A good day...coffee prevails again! I finished one phase of a project, and will start the next phase Tuesday. Tomorrow I get to SLEEP IN a bit, then have a small project nearby. Possibly enough time and temperature to gather some fire wood. Meanwhile, the rat Hole is filling with the smells of two chicken pot pies, to be cerimoniously dumped over home-made mashed potatoes. |

Tomorrow is my last day on late shift so I have one more sleep in and then it's back to 4:20AM wakeup And speaking of coffee, it's time to go brew a pot. I remember when Opal came through and we had no electricity and couldn't make coffee. Talk about headaches!! After several days, I finally boiled water over the fire and poured it through the coffee and filter. And so I am still hopelessly addicted to it. |

You mean to tell me you don't have a basic, campstove perkolator!? I'm putting on my shock face...a little eye-liner...ruffle up hair...I'M SHOCKED! I have a Corning Ware stove-top perkolator I used during this last storm. I avoid using aluminum utensils...after all, look what they did to Mounds! Love the new avatar, and I bet you do too! Finished supper, drinking green tea. |

And yes, the new av is great. Adding fuel for the fire. I'm sure mounds, marinik, LTL, Waxy etc. will have a blast with it. Now what about you?? Current photo anywhere abouts?? Maybe for a day or two.

No current photo, but I've been thinking about it a lot lately...it's only fair to show my geezerosity. I have no one to impress with good looks I never had anyway. It's a great photo of you. A wonderful part of your spirit shows, and it's inspiring. |

Ohhh....okay. I have a photo here of my only surviving uncle. this was taken during my last L.A. visit. I'll scan it and post it before I log out tonight. As with anything Geezorious, the scanner is gonna take some time. I'll be back in a few GeezerMinutes.

Someone gently encouraged me to get the current photo so I think I'll return the favor Thank you, that's nice to hear. I used to take terrible photos, somewhere along they way I actually became halfway photogenic. Don't really understand why but I'll take the new me over the old me any day Last edited by shasah; 02-22-2010 at 02:04 AM.

This was taken back in January. The event was my uncle's 91st birthday. i was encouraged, during a photo-op, to sit next to him, so I did. He announced that he was going to put his arm around me, and I announced that I'd feel his leg...which I did. The room erupted into good-hearted laughter. |

Good stuff huh? Time will tell. Spilling coffee all over myself was not a promising beginning but we'll see what can be done to turn that around. Off to the gym. TTYL

"It's never too late to start the day over." Often, a day that starts out rotten holds the maximum blessings; you need only look for them...or at least, that's been my experience. I also find that "Fiasco Brand coffee is terrible to that last gasp!" That's their slogan. Consider your morning mishap a bit of Creations' Chaos happening again, Deja Vu, so you can be sure good stuff happens equally! |
