What music do you listen too?

I am wondering what you listen too? - I love anything form the 80's upwards.

Like at the moment I am listening to 'MADNESS - House of fun'!

I love Madness What about you?

Rammstein great band! New album you said? Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da? I didn't know of this one before you mention it here. I'm more into the old stuff. What are your favorite songs?

I listen to industrial. Bands like Skinny Puppy, Wumpscut, Frontline Assembly, etc.

I enjoy the Foo Fighters myself. Did you know that on first album, David Grohl played the instruments and sang the vocals? He did on all songs but one.
Otherwise, I'm into System of a Down, Slipknot, Live, A Perfect Circle, few others... I listen to Rammstein on occasion.

I didn't know that, no! I do like rammastein on occasion also, Slipknot is a bit too heavy for me...my mind prefers lighter stuff these days...but I do like Vermillion 1&2.

I think more bands should release songs like Vermillion 1 and 2. Have a heavy version and a light version. Pretty cool.
If you like lighter bands, check out Blue October as well. I like the album "Foiled" and some of their older stuff is good too.
Anyone ever do karaoke? I met my wife in a karaoke bar. Fun stuff. Just don't ever EVER sing Metallica, even if your good at it. The superfans will descend on you.

I like classical music, and the bands and singers on top of my list would be Xavier Rudd, Tom Waits, The Eels, and Tryo.

Currently listening to alot of the Foo Fighters and Incubus. Both excellent bands. I also like Tool and Maynard's 2 side projects (A Perfect Circle and Puscifer). The Mars Volta, Dream Theater, 311, Radiohead, 30 Seconds To Mars, I have a whole slew of favorite bands in the general 'rock n roll' area. Also like alot of older bands like the Beatles, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd... I could go on but I'd rather keep this list short.
And for anyone born during the respective band's generation, I apologize for inadvertently calling you old

I listen to alot of techno, rave, trance and just electronic music in general. Dubstep mixes, Trentemoller, Infected Mushroom, Aphex Twin, Delerium etc etc.

Hip hop and R&B are both awesome. Gangster rap can be really grating to my compassionate spirit and I generally avoid it. Except for Ice Cube. He plays in family movies so it's hard to take it seriously

Used to be really into heavy metal, mostly because that's what all my friends were into at the time and I wasn't exposed to much else (my mom would frequently explain how the Rolling Stones and David Bowie were the antichrist. My musical selections were limited to Christian bands or classical music when I was younger). I like classical music, but I tend to not go out of my way to listen to it.

I like some singers/pop artists like Regina Spektor, Natalie Walker, Kate Havnevik. Many guys I know are shy about admitting they like that kind of music, but I see nothing wrong with liking musical women
I despise Miley Cyrus though. And her autotuned robovoice.

Plenty of bands I haven't named simply because they don't come to mind right now.

I'm a DJ and play in clubs and mostly underground parties. I still listen to and play vinyl which I'm a massive collector. I play deep and ambient house & techno sets. I'd play sets lranging between three and 12 hours (depending on the situation). I also write a blog where I review music, gigs and make DJ sets available for download, both from myself and other artists.

My latest mix 'Nonduality (Phase two)' can be listened to here for free: darren_vinylrules - Darren Allen - Nonduality (phase2) - SoundCloud

I recommend it if you want to get into a deep, chilled meditative state. (The first hour is mainly ambient and drone soundscapes)

If intrigued, you can also check out my blog

Oh, and I'd really recommend artists such as Vladislav Delay, William Basinski, Alva Noto, Moritz Von Oswald, King Tubby. I love deep, intricate, modern classical, drone and ambient music. For me it's always a very personal and spiritual experience to listen to and connect with music.

I love sweet melodies with just the right amount of rock in them. Dido, the rasmus, the killers, muse, red hot chili peppers... seeing the pattern?

OK, the last one was superfluous, everyone likes the red hot chili peppers

You should read Anthony Kiedis (from the Chilis) autobiography 'Scar tissue'

Default It depends...

When I'm feeling creative, I listen to 80's New Wave music. My favorite artists include The Smiths and Simple Minds.

When I need to exercise I like to listen to club music. I like artists such as Lasgo and ATB.

But most of the time I listen to Acid Jazz and Bon Jovi
