I made a chat room for all of us awesome people.

It requires Java to run.

EDIT: New feature - set your nickname in the URL. Use the 'nickname' parameter in the query string to set your initial nickname.

I could get a non-java version installed, too. I have it here, it should run on any browser. Maybe next weekend.

O.K, it's done...but now when I go to the chatroom, I can see the pictures and the emoticons, but nothing's happening? It seems frozen, but it might just mean I have to wait...but it's been like 5-7 minutes already and nothing's happening?

I had the same thing.. I just had to be a bit more patient... When I waited for about 1 minute, it appeared the way it should be.

I've tried twice now to reload it? I'm using Internet explorer 7. My housemate says it usually freezes alot for her too!

Hm. It should show up within a minute or so. It shows up for me in just a few seconds, when I load the page.

Do you have any other web browsers installed? I'm not sure if it works in IE7. Firefox might work better, for example.

Or possibly try upgrading to IE8. But that's kind of a big upgrade, and could take a while.

On the right side where it says, download now, free.

Try changing your nickname twice. Eventhough you don't see the screen yet. And wait 30 sec. 1 min. That is what works for me.

I turned on display of the status window, so you should be able to see *something* right away. Even if it takes a few minutes to connect.

Java is usually something that runs within the browser. Are you using Internet Explorer, or something? Or is it actually an all-Java browser?
