meh to Seinfeld. i never got into it, i know, i know... i am just not a fan of sitcoms. i like humor that is goofy, fast-paced, nonlinear and off-the-wall/surprising/ridiculous. more an Adult Swim/Comedy Central fan m'self. /cue the rotten tomatoes |

Rei, every human is allowed one flaw. But this one is a biggie... Seinfeld is the PD of sitcoms. (And ask your date what he thinks about Seinfeld |

to you both: i know Seinfeld must have some value in the PD community, as often as i've seen people talk about it here... but still, meh. i've watched a couple episodes since i saw so many speak of it, and i am still just ... blah about it. but i think it is the sitcom format more than anything else. too slow and predictable and formulaic for me. @spirit: if the opportunity arises, i'll ask |

I do understand that it is pretty formulaic, and with the studio audience and all, but I just ignore that and focus on the funny! Last edited by blossom; 01-09-2010 at 11:31 PM.

George: Yeah! like the big toe is like the captain of the toes, but sometimes the toe next to the big toe gets so big that there's like a power struggle and the second toe assumes control of the foot. Jerry: The" coup dé-toe" |

JERRY: Oh sure I like Monet. MORTY: Don't you think he had to be uh near sighted? I mean nobody would paint like that if they could see. It's all out of focus. JERRY: Well he's from the impressionist school, you know like Monet, Manet, Tippi Tippi Dayday. |

JERRY: I told you not to say anything. You can't go in there, brazenly flaunt the rules and then think I'm gonna share with you! GEORGE: Do you hear yourself? JERRY: I'm sorry. This is what comes from living under a Nazi regime. |

Your my hero. Edit: When you find the one where the guys get replaced, let me know what episode it is! I can't find an episode called "The Replacement George". Last edited by Mounds; 01-14-2010 at 01:46 AM. Reason: purple monkey dishwasher |

I actually loved Seinfeld so much that when I was sick as a teen with brain cancer, I actually met him through the Make-A-Wish foundation. I've got photos and all sorts of other great memories from that experience. What an amazing man he is. I even gave him some of my jokes as I was an aspiring stand-up comic. Eight years later and I've performed many, many times and even did a Canadian documentary show about how Seinfeld got me interested in comedy. Just thought I would share my story |

I have always wondered what Jerry is like in real life. Of course, I have seen his interviews and stuff. He has this uncanny ability to make ordinary, everyday life situations humorous. I am bit disappointed that he did not do much after Seinfeld, though. You are a stand up comic! Wow!
