Who here has heard of phi? Phi is the golden ratio - in other words the (square root of 5 + 1)/ 2. If you square it you get Phi + 1. And if you divide it into 1, you get Phi - 1. It's quite a beautiful number, particularly in geometry where it creates what is often regarded as the perfect rectangle. |
