i'm sure i don't need to ask your opinion about this, but i am curious to get some additional perspectives. i have a 3rd generation nano, and i have a Blackberry. just yesterday i signed up for the iTunes store, loving the option to buy video. but the video is puny on my nano screen. Apple has a great ad page for the ipod touch - i say it's great because it makes me want to buy one. money isn't an issue in this case... i guess i have some belief related to splurging on not-as-cheap items. if someone asked me if i believe i'm worth this purchase, i'd say yes. but it's a want, not a need, and i already have devices that will do essentially the same thing, though in a way that seems less awesome to me... what do you think? |

I agree.. do it. If you have no qualms about the money and you want that juicy-little-music-maker, then get it, love it and live it! Music is always worth it in my opinon. My ipod is my favourite thing... I don't leave home without it. If I needed/wanted an upgrade I would get it, and I wouldn't look back!

Yes, I think you should. If that makes you happy, your happiness will infect your friends and in turn their happiness will infect their other friends etc.. Ripple effect. Be a responsible person and buy it.. Last edited by Tanja; 11-27-2009 at 05:31 PM. Reason: . |

Good on ya. I bought one a few weeks ago and love it. The wireless connectivity is great and it's super handy for filling any boring moments during the day. The only complaint I'd have is that the battery doesn't last very long, I have to charge mine everyday. But I do use it a lot for games and Internet. Have fun

I asked the same question 4 months ago. In the end I got a 160 gb iPod generation 6 Classic because I realised I didn't need the fancy toys on iPod touch, I just needed space for all my music XD. But still iPod touch sounds fun lol.

I love my iPod Touch -- it's my favorite machine! I do free texting and phone calls on it (where there's wi-fi, which there seems to be just about everywhere); it syncs with my Kindle, so I don't even use my Kindle anymore -- it's just packed away in storage and I download books directly to my iPod; I have an unlimited choice of books on hand in it to read at the doctors or in line or waiting for anything; movies look wonderful on it; it's great for hypnosis; it's my clock and alarm clock; I do voice memos on it -- beautiful, clear recording; I'm using it in decorating my new apartment, to match paint colors, etc.; I can book appointments on it; and it cooks a wonderful three-course meal for me every night and then rubs my feet. I love my iPod Touch! |

Angela, how is reading text on the iPod Touch? The Kindle is very crisp. How does the iPod compare? A part of me has been craving an iPod Touch. I love some of the apps I've seen and I'm a little disappointed with my Nintendo DS when I travel. The games are fun, but it has no good abilities to play music or watch movies. The iPod Touch is like the swiss army knife of handhelds. |

Reading on the iPod touch works well. I read The Picture of Dorian Gray on it. There's an app called Stanza that lets you read works in the public domain, and buy others. It's pretty cool. :P Dude, I splurged on an iPod touch, and technically, money was an issue. :P /<3 |

I already don't use my Ipod Touch very much So getting an Ipad at this point doesn't make much sense to me... they look cool, though, and they did a great job generating interest in that product I've heard typing on an Ipad is weird, and I can see how that could be the case. They are cool, but until they make something that could really totally replace a notebook I'm set, I think. Cool gadgets, for sure, though | |
