Question: Should I upgrade my vintage 2004 "game" PC with a $120 video card (HD 2600XT AGP)... or... Just buy the games I want for my Xbox 360? I don't play many games (just Valve games...Half-Life and Left for Dead and the like). Left 4 Dead 2 told me it my video hardware was below minimum levels...but still runs (barely!). For this game above, I'm stuck...I already pre-bought it for the PC via steam... ...but for future games I am leaning towards just going the 360 route. Unless I could buy a vid card REALLY cheap, I don't want to throw money at a dead platform (AGP is dead now). Any thoughts? THANKS! |

Do you enjoy one more than the other? Personally, I prefer console games. I can relax on a couch, gamepad in my hand, just throw the disc in and play. With a PC, you're usually at a desk, having to resist the urge to hunch over, and you often have to tweak settings just to get the game to run right. PC gaming is often a hassle, which I don't think video games should be. |
