Thumbs up The Sci-fi Appreciation Thread.

So any of you like to watch Sci-Fi shows? I am a real fan of Stargate SG-1 and Battlestar Galactica (though I found the last season not that good). I've also watched the new Stargate Universe which so far seems good.

I don't really watch television anymore but I used to watch stargate a lot. I also like to read science fiction too, though it only seems to happen once in a blue moon. Mostly though, one of my favorite things to do is have conversations with people on future technology and scientific breakthroughs like the "space elevator" or attempts at fusion (Btw aren't the canadians building some kind of fusion reactor atm?)

I also like the newer star trek (don't like old though.). Couldn't seem to watch that Battlestar show though. I've also seen/watched the star trek cartoon a couple of times and liked that as well.

"Space:Above and Beyond" caught my attentions while it lasted! I've seen a few episodes of the older Stargate series but haven't tried Stargate Universe yet. Too bad the Star Trek franchise has petered out so much that they had to resort to going backwards.

I watch the "Siffy" series somewhat idly; that net tore my heart out when it killed Farscape a season early (I am unashamed of my escapist bias)...

I'm a fan.. I've seen just about everyone if not all.. I don't like stargate sg1.. it's one of the few shows that annoys me with stupidity or tepidness.. I'm sure if I gave it a 2nd real chance I might like it..

I tend to think of myself more as a imagination fan then a sci-fi but here's a general list of some of the best shows I know off

- Doctor Who
- Farscape
- Star Trek
- Quantum Leap
- Blake 7
- Eureka
and I could go on and on.. but I'll stop there

I will give BG a chance once it's over.. I sometimes prefer to watch things in order etc.

I don't watch much television, thought I enjoy sci-fi movies on dvd or the cinema. I enjoy watching documentaries online about science, like bbc horizon, anything that has to do with quantum mechanics, even aliens, parallel worlds, conspiracy theories, etc. I've enjoyed dr. Michio Kaku's shows, but for something even more sci-fi I listen to Coast to Coast AM on youtube. I can listen to hours of shows about aliens, forbidden archeology or pretty much any subject. I don't know if this answers the question, but I enjoy sci-fi or borderline sci-fi online more

I used to watch Quantum Leap when I was a teenager, also The X Files and The Twilight Zone. I enjoyed the x files the most.
