This all depends on what time you get up..

Right now, I do nothing before 9am. I get up at 10am.

In about a month or so, my workday will start at 4:30am and will finish at 10am, meaning that I can take a short nap and enjoy the rest of the time off.

Default Before 9:00 am

Sometimes around 8:00 am, though this morning I woke up at 9:00 am. Usually when I'm up earlier I immediately:

- Brush my teeth (2 mins)
- Take a shower (15 mins)
- Eat a bowl of cereal with soy milk (15 mins)
- Read a personal development book (20 mins)

I would say that's almost an hour.

Take dogs out to pee
Make breakfast for child #1
Wake up child #1
Drop child #1 at sports practice at 5 am
Drive home
Feed dogs
Walk dogs
Meditate 30 minutes
Shower and dress
Make after workout snack for child #1
Pack lunches
Wake child #2
Pick up child #1 at sports practice and drop at school
Go back home and pick up child #2, drop at school
Meeting with teacher

There's nothing I have to do before 9am. I get to choose. (There's usually no "to-do" items on my list before 9am.)

Default The Usual Routine

  1. Remember where I am.
  2. Check to see if I'm wearing pants.
  3. Assess how hungry I am, and if it's worth getting up.
  4. Check if anything's due back at the library.
  5. Set 1-2 big actions for the day.
  6. Check email, Twitter, and active threads.
  7. Re-test code written half-awake the previous night.
  8. Get out of couch-bed.

Shower
Prepare and eat breakfast, prepare and pack lunch
A bit of crafting
First email check and internet forums check (I could skip that)
Check craft sales, if I have any, pack them and take them to the post office
Get to work, read a novel in the public transportations
At work by 9am.
