Default Burning Man Festival

Has anyone ever been to this event before? It's this incredible massive display of human expression and creation that happens in the desert of Nevada every summer. People make structures of art, musical creation, and other awesome random stuff.

There is a DJ from Vancouver who performed there that documented his trip this year. The videos are nuts. Here's my favorite (YouTube - VJ Mediavictim Video Blog - Burning Man 09 - Part 7 - Night of the Burn). It shows the final night of the festival. The people and the energy there looks amazing.

I am really stoked to go to this next year. We should get a group together and go!

Dude, I've been wanting to go to Burning Man for years. With college and switching jobs though I just haven't been able to. Well, I'm not sure how I would explain it to my family either. But next year I should definitely be able to. Someone remind me if a group forms around this!

Smile Whoa!

I had randomly heard of the festival but never looked into it. After having visited the website and looking around, I'm definitely going next year.

Default Definitely want to go.

Last year I went to two small festivals of the same sort here in Alberta Canada. One is called Shambhala (my video of it) and the other is motion notion. Burning Man is totally on the "To Do" list. Its WAY bigger than the two I went to and they were both incredible.

In a few weeks I'll be going to the "Full Moon Party" in Thailand... I can't wait.

Red face Burning man festival

I went to Burning Man this year. Think I have gotten too old to enjoy nonstop parties. I couldn't wait to get there, then couldn't wait to leave. We were there 2 days. If you're in your twenties, it probably would be fun.

Default Totally Hear Ya

I totally hear you AtomicAnt. The pounding bass can grate on you once YOU'RE done partying. I was loving my ear plugs when I went to my festivals. Earplugs, your own food stash and toilet paper supply make life a ton better

This sounded cool to me when I first heard about it, but I was a bit put off by the part where it says they usually get sandstorms and they aren't responsible for your safety, and it can get really cold and dangerous there. (Cold, in the desert? You can tell i'm from Minnesota! ) It would sure be fun though. But I really detest camping.

Default All over it

I'm all over it, like White on sub-par rice!

This is definitely going to happen for me and my fiance.
And the Fuji Rock festival, too, if anyone's interested in that as well.
