Default The most romantic story?

I tend to think it's Dirty Dancing.

What other great romances are there?

You know, I'm a little stumped by Dirty Dancing. I love that movie, the music, the story, the characters, the actors, but I don't see any chemistry between Johnny and Baby at all. They're both sexy separately, but I don't feel any pull between them, the way I do in, say, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy in the UK Pride and Prejudice. I see a lot more chemistry between Johnny and the girl who gets knocked up!

I've always liked Beauty and the Beast regardless of whether it's the original black and white French classic or the more colorful and musically-inclined Disney version. Too bad the story wouldn't have worked as effectively if the gender roles were reversed and 'Beauty' was the male and the 'Beast' female.

Hunh. Honestly, it's been like a decade or more since I've seen it, and all I remember is the music Maybe I just find the music romantic. I'm going to watch for this next time I watch it.
