If you feel like it I started this in another thread but I thought it would be easier to follow in one place, and other people can join as well. For those trying to improve creative writing Each person writes one sentence and picks up where a previous poster left off. Here's what we've got so far: This is fun: It was a sunny day in June and uncertainty was in the air. StacyT: I had just received an urgent letter that I was to visit my aunt in Bath. This is fun: It's been five years since I last saw her. Now you

Bath had once been in England but since the second Big Bang, now it took 2 light years to get there.

| Senior Member | I find this quite ironic; after all, what greater need will I have after a long voyage in cramped quarters, but a luxuriously hot soak in very soapy water?...

I've got a very bad feeling here - muttered Pepe to Juanita - balloons - tethers - before you know it, they'll be bringing out the torcs to strap round our necks. Whatever did happen to The Faceless Man? (What I am referring to: The Anome (Durdane, book 1) by Jack Vance) for the inquiring minds that want to know Last edited by CoolBee; 07-07-2009 at 07:21 PM. As we settled in to the flight and the balloon rose ever higher, Doctor Cavor drew some strange looking necklaces from his fantastic moustaches. Pepe and Juanita looked at each other, horrified. "Told you" said Pepe - "Torcs". Like greased lightening, I drew from my pocket a copy of Steve Pavlina's post on "How to Help Negative People". "Nonsense" I said, they're simply traditional necklaces from Planet Tharg, wondering if this counted as throwing or rowing and wondered when the praying would start. As he caught his first fish, we wondered what to do with it - if we killed it straight away we'd have to eat it now, but we had many weeks journey ahead in this balloon and in interstellar space there wouldn't be many fish - we needed to keep it alive somehow. Aha - I thought - if I fill one of these condoms with water, I can make a bag to hold it in - like in a fairground.

Dr Cavor laughed. "These are flying fish son. They swim through the æther and breathe air. All we have to do is tie his finny wings back to ensure he doesn't fly off, and he should stay alive for weeks, as long as we feed him a few mice every now and then." After a few quick knots, the fish was neatly trussed up, and stowed in a picnic basket. "Look up ahead!" Dr Cavor shouted. "Isn't she magnificent!!!" |

He looked up to see, towering above him, weighing down upon him with it's shadow, the largest of figures. It's skin lined with emerald and it's eyes glittering with uncertain mischief. It was a.....

Fluffy the dragon took hold of the tethers, as she just wasn't the right size to dance with the primates. At least not without causing them serious bodily harm in the process. Now that the monkeys were relieved of their tether duties, they were free to dance as well. As it turned out, flying monkeys can dance very well, so everybody in our group picked one for a dance partner. The pirate grabbed a flying fish and joined in the dance as well, to the musical rhythmic beating of Fluffy's wings.
