| I need to find some new workout music, and I figure this would be a good place to come for recommendations. I always need something with a high BPM, but want to try on some trance songs for a change, so I can focus more on the task at hand and less on the song lyrics going through my head. However, I'm not well versed in trance music, and wouldn't know where to start, as it seems like a very broad genre without many standout "mainstream" artists. I have a couple songs that are electronic based, and I'd like to find more stuff along these lines: '88 aka Come Down to Me by Lemon Jelly '79 aka The Shouty Track by Lemon Jelly Ready Steady Go by Paul Oakenfold Flutter by Bonobo Wrong by Robert Miles Sandstorm by Darude One More Time by Daft Punk Thanks in advance for your help. | JAlvy, I happen to be in a trance group and we have 3 mixes online (that's 5-6hrs of music) that you can use for start. I don't know if this is the kind of music you are looking for. These are definitely not very popular songs because we are focusing on quality music (in terms of how it is produced, how it sounds, how it is built up etc) and not what the masses listen to. I think they are perfect for workout. You can download them in the "mixes" menu on our website. The two earliest are the best. The available 3 are marked with "beats" in the server column. If you like what you hear, I have 10 more to send you somehow (there's no more space on the server at the moment). I haven't decided yet whether I want to move this project forward, because the other member, who happens to be my best friend, has just died in an accident on the weekend. Hope you'll like what you hear. Best Regards, Norbert |

| Leandro, thank you for your kind words. I just had a conversation with his another friend and we decided to finish one of his r'n'b songs and write lyrics about him and finish all trance/r'n'b/hip-hop productions and get them released. When we have reached this goal I'll post a link about it here. It'll probably take around 6 months. Best Regards, Norbert |

| I do also think he would be very proud. These are 1-2hr long mixes, not singles. #1, #2 and #9 are available on the server. Click on their title, then use the "Click here to download" link and on the foreign site that opens use the little blue Download arrow above the conversation ("Letoltes"). |

| The two main trance streams on the Internet are ETN.fm Channel 1 and Digitally Imported Internet Radio's trance channel. Sadly the more popular they are, the more djs have shows there thus the overall quality gets lower. That's why I believe etn.fm is better than di.fm (it's younger) but etn plays low quality stuff also (which is not really trance but the dj likes it). If you want to download more stuff, you can find torrents at the etn site in the Downloads menu. |

| If you're not a p2puser then ignore this comment. But I have an mp3 called: Hybrid, Darude, Warp Brothers, Crystal Method, Prodigy, Underworld, aphex twin,.mp3 It's a 40 min. mix and I like it, look it up in our p2psoftware and if it doesn't exists those are all different artists too. |

| Good question, JALvy- do you measure the BPM of your tracks? Does anyone know what software can measure the BPM of your music tracks? I used to have one on my computer (came with my Sony Vaio), but I deleted it a long time ago. Now I want to see which of my tracks have BPM ideal for cardio workouts.. I tried in iTunes, where there is a column for BPM display, but apparently that's for entry, and iTunes won't measure it for you. There must be a way to measure it...
