| The question at hand is rather simple. What movies and/or series have you watched that have managed to make you cry? I don't know if this is something many people care to experience, but I personally enjoy crying as a result of an engaging storyline. I have only two entries that I care to add: 1. Naruto 2. The Last Samurai Naruto, the entry that prompted this post, is an anime (Japanese animation) series that I've been watching over the past week. My expectations for it were rather low, but the emotional attachment it's generated is nothing short of amazing. I've found myself crying almost non-stop throughout episodes 16-18. Of course, you'd need to watch all the episodes until that point to get the proper character development. What I particularly like is that I can rewatch those episodes, and they will without fail generate those same emotions all over again. I have a number of other movies in mind that have managed to make me cry through the element of surprise, and had no effect on subsequent viewings. The Last Samurai, well, I usually cry all throughout the ending. |

| I don't usually cry during movies, but a few have moved me to tears. The Motorcycle Diaries: I watched it several times, and am still moved when I remember it... a powerful and beautiful film. The Snow Walker: A little-known but excellent film about a young Inuit woman in the Canadian Arctic. She is an extraordinary heroine. And I agree with you about the ending of The Last Samurai.

| I don't too. But lately I'm more easily moved ha! Can't remember the old ones (since I don't tear so easily last time), but the latest one that moved me to tears was "Charlotte's Web". Touched me so much that I blogged about it, cos it's not just about the tears but about what I learnt from this movie. Here's the post if you like to read: A Web Of Love: Charlotte’s Web

| I sometimes feel like crying but tears never leave me eyes. How do you do that? Do you feel like crying or do just tears come out?

| its hard to explain. but when you watch a really good movie it feels as if you are one of the characters in the storyline and that everything else that happens in the movie directly affects you. surprisingly, this emotional attachment arises from an hour or two of the film while you watch the characters develop. and then when you see the pain they go through, you feel exactly what they are going through and cry. |
| |||
| oh yes.... Titanic: i remember 'crying' now I think its fluff and shallow...but there is other stuff, that's even 'fluffier' that brings a tear to my eye. |

| I just saw The Pursuit of Happyness and I agree. That was a very moving film.

| Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I didn't cry the first time I saw it, but it touched me deeply. I've watched it several times since and cried everytime, sometimes even troughout the entire film. It's not really a sad movie, it's a feel-good movie, but you'd have to see it to understand why I find it so emotional.

I friend of mine desperate cried for 2 hours locked in his car after seeing this movie. It´s a feel-good movie for me, but I found that lots of people get very emotional. |

| Little Miss Sunshine really affected me. I strongly identified with Dwayne. Watching him struggle and suffer in the film reminded me of myself and things I've struggled with. I felt his pain. It was very powerful, I don't think I've ever been affected by a movie like that before. |

| Pretty much any Miyazaki film, normally at the end. Most recently Howl's Moving Castle. Also, Otomo's Steamboy. But that wasn't actually down to the plot so much as the sheer beauty of the imagination, particularly at the very end. |
