Mr. DEM is on a distinguished road
Default Hobbies/Interests

Hi everybody. I thought I would create a topic because I am curious as to what people's hobbies are.

My hobbies consist of:
  1. Video Gaming - although not as much as I used to, I remember back in my teens this used to be a form of escapism for me from the troubles in my life.
  2. Computing - yet again not as much as I used to, as I have got older I have seemed to stop learning things like programming because they just don't interest me much anymore. I still learn about some of the new technological advancements in computing though.
  3. Personal Development/Financial Improvement - this is my newest hobby, I haven't always been careful with the way I spend money, at least not until my later teenage years. I now follow a lot of financial advice and looking into taking college courses to study accountancy and financial management.

What are your hobbies and interests? (they don't have to be productive hobbies, just things that bring you joy and happiness.)

Hey Mr Dem

Writing Sci-fi - I have about 20 short stories, each exploring different concepts, some of them more original than others... space, time travel, virtual reality. I love reading sci-fi too. The down-to-earth kind, not so much fantasy. My dream is to become like Michael Crichton in his Jurassic Park phase

Playing Piano - this is so rewarding, and even though I haven't done any formal grading, I know I can learn more advanced pieces given enough time. When the mood takes me, I can sit and play and it brings so much creativity and stress-release.

Walking My Dog - I have a four month old Shetland Sheepdog named Howard, he is so awesome! I really like taking him for walks on the beach and especially when he gets to meet other dogs, he goes mental. I was never a massive dog fan until I met my partner who loves all animals. Now I am hooked.

Lucid dreaming, video games, computers (and programming), technology, basketball, bowling, exercise, reading, and anything else fun.

About a year ago, I spent around 40 hours learning to read music and play piano from a teacher. It's very rewarding. I'd like to get my own keyboard one day and practice regularly.
