I didn't see anyone mention Secondhand Lions (Michael McCain and Robert Duvall). It's all about growing up right, how to be a man, and recognizing love in your life. Amazing. Others that I saw mentioned already: A Beautiful Mind Gattaca The Princess Bride Bridge to Terrabithya -sweetest movie I may have ever seen Original Willy Wonka |

My all-time favourite movie is "Titanic" and i still watch it from the vcd.For me,everything is great in that movie...I don't think-believe that I will be able to watch a movie better than it.(in this life and in other lifes hehe) And my second favourite is "The Matrix" series...Also a few days ago I heard that it is based on Advaita Vedanta philosophy. I understood a few things which i haven't understood until a few days ago in the Matrix,a few days ago.A few days ago, while i was thinking about the scene in which the kid said to Neo something like this:"You will see that it is not the spoon which is bent,it is you which is bent".I think he meant that Neo is the spoon also.(because there is only awareness, and Neo is that awareness, and awareness is everything) Last edited by Jack; 02-23-2009 at 10:50 PM. |

The best anime movie I have ever seen is Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo a.k.a. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It has the best storyline I have ever seen in an anime (yes better than studio ghiblis). It is a great story about friendship and love. The most uplifting movie I have ever watched... that I can remember... right now... is Enchanted... yea... lol. |

| It's off-screen. It comes out when he states, "This is my world! My world!"

I don't think anyone mentioned Rocket Science. It's a brilliant film which didn't get very far in the public eye. Highly recommend it.

I just saw "Let The Right One In" and it was AMAZING! It's extremely sweet, heartwarming and beautiful for a vampire movie. The cinematography is breathtaking and it's just the best movie I've seen all year. Do yourself a favor and see this asap!

The best "feel good" movie I have ever seen is, without a doubt "The 5 people you meet in heaven", based on the book by Mitch Albom. Despite the name, this is nothing to do with a religeous notion of "heaven" at all, but rather it is a very clever, entertaining and spiritually moving way of exploring the real meaning of our individual lives (and the story says that this meaning is different for each individual, so there is no universal "meaning of life". Moreover, the story explores how the way we interact with other people throughout our lives can often have a major influence on both ourselves and the other person, and often at the time we fail to fully notice or understand this. I won't say too much more because I don't want to spoil it, but it is a brilliant movie which will appeal to anyone and everyone, and leaves you feeling great and looking at your life in a very different way. It's also just a really entertaining movie, even though it contains virtually NO sex or violence! |

There's a lot of movies I love!! But just a couple make me feel really good, give me a great smile and leave me thinking. Those are, among others.. 1- Before Sunrise. Just a romantic guy's (me) dream come true.. Needless to say that after watching that movie I took that train 2 o 3 times =P 2- Indiana Jones: Raiders of the lost Ark. Another part of me! Adventure.. Thrilling and so great! Love it! 3- Cinema Paradiso. The great italian classic that reminds me from my roots, grandmas and grandpas. Deep and great movie I recommend for everyone!

I just watched Frank Capra's 1938 screwball comedy movie "You Can't Take it With You." It's about a family of free-spirited eccentrics who live for fun. Grandpa Vanderhof is the head patriarch played to perfection by Lionel Barrymore, who portrays bad guy Mr. Potter in Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life." Mayhem ensues when the daughter of this family falls in love with the son (Jimmy Stewart) of a stereotypically snobbish rich banking family. |
