Default "Immortal" animal has possibly been discovered

First, I'm not sure it this is the appropriate place for this, but since it's fairly general and I wasn't sure where else it would fit, I figured this would be the best choice.

Here's the link: Meet the world’s only immortal animal | ZME Science

They're called turritopsis nutricula (doesn't look like there's a common name yet) and closely related to jellyfish. I didn't really understand why it works, but something to do with the way their cells operate makes it so they don't die of old age, which is the sense the article uses the word immortal in. So yes, they can still be killed in other ways, but they supposedly have the potential to live forever due to the way they're designed.

Either way, I thought it was pretty cool.

they look a bit like creatures I used to fight in the game Aquaria. Aquaria was a pretty awesome game! It was completely underwater and you had to explore the sea. The sea was huge...

That's crazy. Can you imagine cycling back and forth between being an adult and a baby for all eternity? Hmmm...maybe we actually do...

you knoe if humans had that it would be crazy, everybody would just stay indoors, they would be scared of dying in an accident, the world would stop working, you would actually have more fear.

Perhaps, but you would also have the smart people who understood that for life to be worth living, risks have to be taken sometimes in order to have fun. If nothing else, staying home could put you in danger of dying from your house collapsing on you.

I do see your point though.
