Default starting to play guitar, can anyone give me some coaching?

I have an old classic guitar borrowed from a friend of mine and I'm learning to play by myself. I'd love to get some guidance as to what and how should I practice. Also, if you could give me some easy songs to practice on, that would be awesome.

I've already developed some muscle and coordination in my fingers and I can play the basic chords. I don't understand the theory behind the rythm though. How do I know how often and when to strum?

I'd love any kind of help from you, accomplished guitarists

my mail/msn is ravdudek@gmail.com

Thanks a lot

It's awesome, much better than anything I found on net. Thank you so much I'd love to "immerse" now, but I won't leave out my business, just a few days left to the holidays
