| I got into the habit of reading Steve's blog during lunch to keep myself inspired to do time management. I felt less self conscious going to a web site for a short article than pulling out a book at my desk I'm not all that interested in parapsychology or nu-age stuff. This site has a wide diversity of subjects. I don't think everything will be for everyone and that is fine. That is life. I don't get why some people seem to be complaining about the diversity of the content here. That seems to be a big time management/PD faux paux. Can't they think of a better use of their time? I'm being serious, not snarky. Steve never promised anyone anything. Why complain that it isn't 100% to your liking? Why not settle for simply not reading what you are not interested in and moving on to something more personally rewarding? Last edited by Cron : 12-27-2006 at 08:29 PM. |

| Why ask why? From what I've found, the majority of people complain because they disagree with what they have read, not because they just think that the material is useless to them. Rather than debate the points with civility, or ignore the content they don't agree with, or even, god forbid, have an open mind and see what parts they might apply in their own lives, they choose to attack the 'source' of the information, since they can't fight against the information itself.

I'm just finding it humorous or ironic, that this thread is kind similar to the complainers. You are curious or even complaining about the complainers and spending your time doing that. In a way spending time making a thread that asks why and points at posters that spend time complaining about material here is exactly the same thing, don't you think? Could I not say to you - "dont you have something better to do than complain about complainers?". Quote:
Although it is a somewhat interesting social issue that people are posting with complaints and such and almost attacking people trying to shift their ideas or broaden their outlook and I sometimes try to understand why or where they are comming from. |

| Interesting question. I wrote an article on my website a while back called "Is it Worth Complaining?" Check it out below. John
