I saw Slumdog Millionaire last night.. what an excellent film. I'd highly recommend it. It's very intense at times. I loved watching the main character throughout the film -- following his experiences through the slums of India before he goes on the game show is absolutely surreal, as well as beautifully filmed. It's also thematically brilliant. It really reminded me that no matter how many scars people might be hiding on the inside, scars going all the way back to their childhood even.. you'll never know, and you just have to get out there and live life to the fullest regardless. |

I noticed on Rotten Tomatoes that it has a 92% rating, but it is only showing in 10 theaters. Too bad. I hope it gets wide released, everyone should see this film. It also has the highest return of all the movies listed: $36k per screen. |

I have been intensely wanting to watch this movie for a month now. The Limited release really bolloxed it up. I found a torrent and watched it yesterday. It rox! Only thing I didn't like were the communal riots. But, I still love my India for all it's diversity |
