| I decided it would be poor taste to post this under the Spirituality category. Pharyngula: IT'S A FRACKIN' CRACKER! But I was tempted. So very tempted. I will also refrain from giving you any reason to click on the link.

| What amuses me is this: Quote:
These Catholics are the ones who are sending this guy all this negative energy, death threats etc. Then they're inculding him in their prayers, OMG! What's that all about?

| You know, I was going to say something witty, but I hadn't realized the extent of the hyper sensitive response from this until I read the full post. Wow. |

| Absolutely mind boggling. I fail to understand how anyone with more brain cells than a rock could even contemplate expelling someone over not eating a tiny piece of bread. Surely even the most devout Christian would understand that you're not actually eating Christ's body, but only partaking in a ritual in his honor. It's a shame, really, I think Jesus was a very enlightened figure in his time... he deserves better followers than these dimwits! (Thankfully, many -most?- Christians aren't this stupid)

Transubstantiation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: The Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist Last I'd heard, some body of American bishops decided that the bread turns into the body of Christ after it's in your stomach, so it's not actually cannibalism. But that was maybe 4 or 5 years ago, and some footnote in the college newspaper. Next to caffeinated soap. But I think the traditional line of thought is that it becomes the body of Christ when blessed.

| And the deed is done! This has been so good fun that i almost wish it wasn´t over. See here, where I live, the religious people aren´t nearly as nutty as the ones you have on the other side of the ocean, so fun stuff like this just doesn´t happen very often. Well actually they are equally nutty, they´re just not as many or as vocal. Here being an atheist or at least uninterested in religion, is pretty much pressumed. Having these nutters to fight must give your life a purpose that is enviable. |

Also, did you know you're not allowed to gobble the body and glug the blood if you have not gone to confession since your last mortal sin? If you have murdered someone, or had an homosexual encounter, or deliberately thought an impure thought, and you go ahead and partake without having first confessed, you are profaning the eucharist in the most grievous manner. That can't be good, right? |

However, you should watch "This is England". It's an indie film, available on Netflix, and pretty good. Quote:
